i need to take a lot of the preload out of them. What i have now with the 700# springs is a bit much. I dont like how fast they rebound when going over bumps. Its pretty loud when they slam at full extension. I maybe going with some 650# springs soon.

I have an aluminum bumper with a winch/synthetic line, 20" light bar, IFS skid, and a few other odds and ends to add a couple more pounds... I feel like if i was able to get 600# springs to drive without rubbing i can get 650# to ride pretty nice.

Let me know how you like them. I believe your steel hybrid and my aluminum plate are almost the same weight.

Do you have a steel skid plate? I know you dont have a winch so there is 40# you dont have.

My TC lowers are also pretty heavy so that and my optima yellow top i feel like are the next heaviest things that ive added up front.

I sure will. Steel plate skid also on mine. You're correct, no winch, ever.

But, my 'hybrid' bumper dude...I swear this thing is built like a fuxking tank. Its heavy as fucking hell

even when i had my steel bumper with no winch and 700# springs on bilsteins it was a bit much. Im not sure what i was thinking buying 700# springs again...

Too much on my drive side thats for sure! I think they were set to where they were when the 13" springs were on there, but i have 14" springs now so i need to see what the minimum i need to have is and start from there.

I think i was at 2.5" when i had the 600# springs just so it would rub the tires. Im thinking an inch max should be enough and hopefully get a bit of a softer ride.

bro its easy AF! Im doing some truck maintenance this weekend so i plan to adjust that also.

need to change the spark plugs, swap out a headlight bulb that is going bad, change my oil, realign my front bumper, and adjust the preload.... that all i have for right now at least.

Yeah, I just dont have a good place to jack up the truck to adjust. I may end up having to remove the front shocks and put them in a vise due to the resi's being in the way, At least thats what the instructions say. I'll try to adjust them on the truck first though.

I believe 1.5 is max with 700 springs, 2.5 with 650. When I swapped to 700, I went from 2.5 to about 0.5 maybe less. Took the bounce out at highway speeds that was super annoying. I bet that is your issue.

Easier to start max and go down from there then vise versa.
