That NOAA radio is good. It will make you think it's the beginning WW3 for a Tornado Watch but it's good.

Tons of those fakers out there. I've seen stuff posted of Tornadoes moving into Alabama and it's a picture of the EL Reno Tornado in Oklahoma. Unfortunately people don't do research and just share away.

I posted a legitimate alert from AlabamaWX to a severe weather Alabama group, correcting old maps that the group admin had posted of stuff more than 5 years old. She denied my posting alert and left up her bad information. Those morons should be held accountable someway somehow but there is just no way to police all of that.

Best thing we can do is educate ourselves, family and friends so that we all know, and don't have to be fed the info.

A Great Explanation Of The Severe Weather Threat For Today Through Thursday Morning

What’s with the wide time window? Let’s look…

There will basically be two “waves” of storms today through tomorrow. The first, highlighted in yellow, is a scattered area of storms moving roughly northeast. This will be the main cause of severe weather this afternoon and early evening. The second “wave” highlighted in red, is closer to the front and will be moving through overnight into the morning Thursday. The area in red has scattered storms showing on radar, but all of these storms are expected to merge into a line feature sometime right before entering Alabama. This is what will cause the main focus of severe weather through the overnight hours.

To add to this explanation, a big uncertainty is how quickly that area in red will move through. If it moves quickly, the atmosphere may not have time to recover from the first wave (remember, the one in yellow), and we may not see quite as much severe weather. If it moves slowly, the atmosphere will have time to gather more energy, and we may have a greater severe weather threat.

Coors Light will reimburse up to $100 in fees for 1,000 dog adoptions across the country for pups taken to their forever homes between today and Feb. 21. The offer is good for those ages 21 and older.

“Cuffing Season is a major cultural trend and poses tension for our younger drinkers, as they navigate the stress of finding someone to spend the cold months with,” said Chelsea Parker, Marketing Manager at Molson Coors. “With almost half of millennials planning to stay in on Valentine’s Day, we wanted to help empower people to savor the day with Coors Light and a dog by their side.”

That's cool. And since Coors is like drinking water, it's safe for the adopted pups to drink with their owners!

I have a friend here in HSV that has ran the king of hammers the last 3 years. Not sure if he and the team are there now.

Okay guys, I need some advice (non-truck related). Does anybody have experiance working long-term for a subcontractor to a larger company? So I've got a job offer to go to a sub contactor for SAIC on a long-term contract (2-3 years), but they don't do things like match 401K contrabutions and only 1 week PTO/year. Plus side is LOTS more money. So I can just take any time off w/out pay to make up for the lack of PTO knowing that I will make more money while working to pad the difference.

Sorry that's kind of long, but anybody had some similar experiance or know of pit falls I should look out for?
