I had that issue and thought it was a problem with the connectors near the knob. Turns out I had somehow pulled a wire free from the harness itself so had to undo all of Meso's hard and quality work to get at the errant wire. I'm pretty sure this was on me because I was tugging...assertively at the whole harness to get enough slack so I likely pulled the wire out.

It is really lightweight wire and mine also came apart at the connection. If I just installed it and never touched it again it would have been fine but alas mods and time got the best of it. I have a new method for ECT switching I'm trying now. If it leads to something usable I'll start a thread.

I haven’t had any issues with mine having disconnected it a few times already. It does seem like a delicate connection so just some mindfulness when handling

Looking forward to this, it would be just my luck that I would be strapped for funds when he does another release on these. Gotta start watching them extra funds.

    UPDATE

Some of the revisions to the newer models can be seen below.
1)Longer leads from switches. So the wires are less likely to pull out and you will have more space to work with/plug in after the knob is installed.
2)Larger connectors on the switches. The first versions had micro JST connectors. I did this so they would fit through the shift boot/collar without modifications. It worked, but with such a small connector I had reports of the wires pulling out. Not this time..
3)AUX connector installed. Previous versions I left 2 bare wires(on the extension wire that goes into the dash) for the customer to wire to the function of their choice. Now it will come with a preinstalled 2 pin connector AND the mating end to make a easier and cleaner install.
3)Injection Molded Switches. Different from the first versions that were 3d printed and painted.. these are much better and OEM grade.

So overall minor changes, but collectively make this kit DIALED. Also I will be keeping them at the SAME PRICE.

@MESO any chance those of us with the old version can purchase the new improved red plastic switches only and nothing else?
