If the 2nd gen is indeed a 2014 reg cab 4x4, then I would go that route as it's the last year of the regular cab, ever. Auto's had bucket seats and manual's have the bench. Both have 4.10 gears. I have a 2012 reg cab auto bench seat 2x4 with lift and 31's, drove it on a 3000 mile road trip once.......once. As a daily, it's awsome! Long road trips in a reg cab require a chiropracter!

i do not like where the front turn signals are placed on these
... very dangerous to oncoming traffic that may not see you wanting to turn at night

I would sooner have a sister in a whorehouse than a brother in a 2nd gen

2012 and newer 4x4 manual and 4x2 (5-lug) reg cab's (auto and manual) all had bench seats only. Only the 4x4 with the auto trans had bucket seats. No prerunner reg cabs were made after 2011 production year. ALL Regular cabs stopped production in 2014 which now makes them collectable. Think about the Landcruiser FJ40's, the last year of american version was 1983/1984. The last years of production are the most valuable and sought after.
So the 2014 reg cab 4x4 will be going up in value since they were the last years produced. If you could get a low mile reg cab 4x4 from 2014 you will be investing in a future collectable.
