Thanks, the rear bumpers actually fine the estimate shows fender then paint work to the body panel, but 5 days to take apart that end of the truck is what they want..

The manager is actually good, he didn't see the truck before telling me. The LR I think just said they were stuck close and needed a tow. The manager also didn't hook up the tow hook in the sketchy spot, that was the LR owner..

Got it. Hope it works out for ya. Sucks for sure though. I was just down for a little over a week getting my ECU harness replaced (rodents). Feel your pain!

    Self report win.

    Welcome to the south.

That ain't even the largest. The one we have down here in Crestview is way bigger.

But the drive through still only takes 5 minutes... tops.

Oh yea, pretty much all the CFA’s in AL have dual drive thru lanes with covered roofs, workers outside taking your order, it’s great I go there 20 times a month...

Popeye's has 82 cars in line, backed out onto the street and through 2 lights. Wait time - Kindergarten to high school graduation. Condiments gave me diabetes before I even opened them. Treat me like I'm the guy who told their baby-daddy to stop making child support payments, and they're more heavily armed than I am.

Jack the the Box line is empty. The 3 people inside look at me like I just arrived from another planet. Wait time is 15 seconds before I even get to the end of my order. Refer to me by the kind of nickname reserved for guys named Kyle and weed dealers. The diarrhea hits before I make it 3 blocks.

Arby's is turning and burning. I start getting the meat sweats before I get to the front of the line. I go through a blackout period from when I finish placing my order to when my number is called. I shakily douse my brisket roast beef, curly fries, and Mello Yello with Horsey Sauce. All is right with the universe when the #3 ventricle rips free.

I don't get it why it's sketchy. :notsure:

that's where the safety chains from towing a trailer go, it's part of the hitch receiver, and should be connected to part of the frame. that's actually the best place to hook to it without damaging any bumpers/body panels on the LR

See that's what I thought when I first got the truck, but from reading on here that's not where you want to pull. One of mine is also a bit bent now(from a different time). So I have heard mixed things.

Oh, @frizzman was being serious?! Yeah no. That’s not it’s design or function. Will it work in some cases? Sure. Can it fail, have the strap snap back and hit someone or your windshield? Absolutely. The tow ball isn’t a great hookup point and can snap too. In the end, I don’t really care what you do with your vehicle, but just know you have better points and some even designed specifically for that purpose.

moving it a foot or two is fine in this case, but I'm not saying tow it off the trail and down the road. Also, pull the hook through the hoop and tie it, don't leave a loose hook.

also @shane100700 can you point to me where else to tie off on the LR to move it away?
