I need to get me one of these... is it an R/C truck?

 

It's a 3D printed body kit that goes on an RC Crawler chassis. Each panel is printed almost like the real thing. It's a lot of work but great way to spend the winter. Here's the build so far.

is your tailgate plasti dipped or is that a decal? I’ve been looking to do something like that but can’t find the decal anywhere.

 

It’s a vinyl decal. Just Google a sign shop that does decal or vinyl wraps in your area and they should be able to do it.

 

While I’m a short bed guy at heart, my girlfriend and I have been living out of this DCLB w/ Roof Top Tent on Maui for the last week and we’ve been loving it!

What’s the first thing you noticed about these as far as ride quality goes?

 

First thing(s) I noticed were no more nose dive on moderate braking, feels more locked in to asphalt on moderately aggressive turns.
I was always bothered that my truck on the Bilsteins always felt like it was kind of "floating" along. With this minor lift that float is gone completely and BTW, I like the appearance with the little bit of lift it provides.

 

That truck and tailgate look great! Now I have another thing I want to do to my truck.

 

Nicee decal or paint on that hood. Which one is it? Where did you get it done at? How much? Also what type of topper is that?

 

The topper is from leer. 100XR. The hood decal is vinyl wrap material done by a local guy over here. I really like it. I believe it was $275.

Niceee thanks! Thats the same top I ordered. How much was yours? What options? Thats pretty much the idea I had to put on my hood. Now I see what it would looks like. Now I really want it now. That decal will definitely fix the glare problem. Are your fenders plastidipped?

 

Yes it is. I have several mods sitting in the garage now and a few on the way.

 

I really like how it takes the glare away especially at the rear of the hood. The decal goes all the way to the end. fenders are not plasti dip. I have a set of the off road flare. I put the 2 on the front and not sure if I'm going to do the backs or just put the OG ones back on the front.

The topper cost $2600. I have the roof rails. The front slide/fold out window. A set of windoors, flip out windows with sliders and the headliner. I really like it and I'm glad I spent the extra money on the windoors.

 

I say put the rear ones as well. It looks good! You already took the decals off on the side so nooone will know if its a sport or Off road anyway. Now I have another one to put on the list for mod. Hood decal then the flares next. Thanks again!

I have the XR as well but without the Windoors. Fail for me! I didn’t know at the time and have tried to do after (not same size so not possible).
