    Why?

My '16 on 91 FOB for 04B13 was happy as a clam putting along back roads in 6th down to about 1200. It wasn't lugging, and it only took light throttle to maintain speed. Just flip it up into 3rd if you need power or you get slowed down by traffic. That was on stock gears and stock sized Duratracs... I shit you not.

Cruising around at low rpm with light throttle is not a problem. Expecting to accelerate with the pedal buried at that rpm is not what we are referencing.

The sensation we get is different.

Drive 65 mph in 6th gear on the highway, which is around 2100 rpm.

Light throttle is all that is needed the maintain 65, slightly more to accelerate to 70.

Now start going up a slight incline. This incline does not require a downshift to maintain speed, all you need to do is push slightly more on the accelerator.

No you will not accelerate, but you will maintain your speed. During this time, you will feel a slight bump or jerk or tug. Sometimes it's worse than others. Again this is not with the pedal buried, we aren't trying to accelerate from 65 to 90 up a hill.

It's super annoying, i hope yours doesn't do this. Mine has since day one. It drives me and my wife crazy.

I was NOT burying the pedal. I was cruising, flat and letting the truck slow to match 1500, 1400, 1300 rpm, then ease on up to 1500 rpm. This is how the problem supposedly manifested itself.

"I have a few reports / emails now about some MT trucks getting a very odd, misfire-like or "miss" right around 1500 RPM. Specifically highway driving in 5th or 6th"

Now you add a slight load, a slight incline. This was not mentioned before. Not my driving style, but I will try this.

For the record, this is not exclusive to '19's either. My '16 did exactly what is described straight off the lot. The RPM range might vary somewhat, but the sensation is the same.

Ok commute to work I tried it on 4 hills coldish warm hot. 1100 to 1500 rpm. Zero jackasery. Starting to think it could be motor mounts or clutch or something besides fuel management.

@TacoJeff19, sorry for posting that misleading statement and thanks @tonered for correcting it.

I was thinking that you could flash any vehicle with the original license tied only to a computer but it’s also tied to a specific vehicle. I guess if you tried to flash a different truck it would just be unsuccessful.

you just exactly described what I've been calling clutch slip for the last 3 years. i had this, exactly this, since the beginning and with the stock tune and a pedal commander.

Lets not call it that...we don't want that....although it does feel like a slight slip and grab. I know these clutches grab high in the stroke, but during normal driving i have no feeling of a slip i would be straight to the trade in line at the dealer if that was happening.

you would trade the truck if your clutch slips but not if you believe it's misfiring. is that right? ok.

I cruise at 1500 when I can, but if I need to accelerate, I will go down 1-2 gears. I thought this was normal?

If my 10k mile truck had a slipping clutch, that the warranty doesn't cover, then yeah I'd trade it

My lifetime power train warranty will cover the other situation
