I hope to hell they change their minds believe me, as a lifelong fan since I had Hell Awaits on cassette and bought Reign in Blood right when it dropped..but I do believe they'll stick to their guns about no more since they wrapped up the last tour.

Not sure about worst, but most overrated I could buy.

I never believed at all that this year's defense was a juggernaut like a good amount of people did, for one thing.

Brady's still a year older no matter how good he is.

Not that I'm a huge fan but no team can lose Gronk and replace him with a couple of spare parts in terms of receiving stats. Plus after Edelman we had so many failed lottery tickets such as Josh Gordon. Don't even bring up AB, I said that was insane even if he played for free..and not that he's a stud anymore but I'd rather have seen them retain Demaryius Thomas

I may have said it here, don't remember..but I said all along they'll win the division but it won't be as far and away as years past..and that anything in the playoffs is gravy.

I'd lay about even money he stays here or retires. Not sure which one happens if pressed to decide, I know he wants to play still but part of me says why should he if the organization doesn't give him some weapons?

If it were up to Gisele he'd have retired years ago, and I can see that pull getting stronger now that his kids are growing up..his oldest is almost 13, and I'd have to guess (not being a parent myself) that any parent would like to be able to just have family time with the little ones. Plus it's not like he's worried about money either.

IF he went elsewhere....gosh, I honestly have no clue. I could in theory see him going somewhere with a good team needing a QB to get over the hump to win now..similar to when Ray Bourque requested a trade in his later years out of Boston and won the Cup in Colorado. Not sure where in particular he'd want to go and/or would pony up to get him..although it's possible he'd take less money to be in that spot to win another Super Bowl.

Hope they do..and I'll always give them my money if so. The other part of me says anything we've gotten since Jeff died is a bonus, not sure I could have gone on without him if I was there.

That reminds me I still have to get the Repentless Killogy Bluray, saw it in theater and have the CDs

I just dont see him going anywhere. It's not like they have a ready replacement nipping at his heels as Steve Young was to Joe Montana. And he's also not as banged up as Joe was when we let him go. No one wanted to do it but the writing was on the wall. If Steve weren't so obviously ready and capable I'm damn certain we would have stayed with Joe for the twilight but such isn't the case for New England. If he doesn't stay it will be because he doesn't want to for some other reason bedsides money and the relationship he has with BB is too well established to cast doubt on. I see this as more going through the motions of free agency though for the sake of the Patriot fans it would be nice to give them assurance. But that's not how that stage works, if you want to court realistic offers you have to give the impression you might accept.

Agreed they don't have a capable replacement now, unless they pick up a veteran to be a bridge and have something brewing in the draft/trade market..maybe.

I'd believe Tom has loyalty to the organization but who knows what goes on behind closed doors at the same. Tom and Bill both have always been among the most tight-lipped about things in general so it's tough to really get a read on the situation.

Some athletes want to roam and some want to stay put and some just follow the $. In any case it irks them to be thwarted. As fans we generally want our guys to stay our guys but will readily adopt someone new, they are just less likely to acquire the same level of devotion since having left one organization they might easily leave another. Rookies that resign and guys coming out of rookie contracts or those just looking for a better home (as opposed to exclusivley more money) seem to get the easiest transitions to fan base loyalty. Kevin Durant as a Warrior was an example of a great player and fan favorite but one we pretty much knew not to get attached to. I don't begrudge him his leaving either here or before from OKC since players have the right to choose their futures but that choice has consequences and the players that show more loyalty usually get more in return. Even if he was better than Steph or Clay he will never be as dear to the fans as those that show their appreciation by staying. I hope Brady gets to finish out his career as a Patriot but it could be that it ends elsewhere like Montana or Manning. It wouldn't be the end of the world but neither would it be the story book ending to his career. It's still his career though and not ours.

The Washington Capitals. All they need is: to score more during their currently anemic power plays. Stop giving up the puck in front of their own goal. Less penalties could only help.

Money doesn't seem to be Tom's motivation, especially since he's taken less than market for so long to stay here. Though, I could see him being a little miffed that it seems like last year they didn't make moves to put more offense around him perhaps.

If he were to leave, I'd wish him the best and really mean it. It's a business as well and I get that.
