Nice looking truck man! I'm actually doing a step-by-step on painting the chrome grille. I havent done the clearcoat yet, as I've been super busy this weekend, but I should be able to finish it up tomorrow I think. I'll grab the link in a minute

    crap bolted and welded together....
well if your just painting the grille you dont have to cut anything. The cutting is for the deep dish mod. But if your just painting it then just follow the paint steps in the link.

Cutting out the center is actually very easy. But, you dont have to cut that out if you dont want to. If you plan on getting a grillcraft mesh piece for the front, that can go over the oem center section.
If you plan to do a satoshi grille, you will have to cut, epoxy, fill, sand and paint that section.
I personally didnt want to see anything behind the grillcraft mesh, which is why I cut that out.

I'm the same way even if I couldn't see it behind the mesh I would still know it was there and thats enough to make want to cut it out

Then yea, you'll have to obviously do that step, but its honestly an easy step in the process. A simple hacksaw blade can make the cuts, you dont need any power tools or anything to cut the plastic. It yields easily to serrated blades
