    Wow, 1/8” difference in sides. That’s awesome.

    Question, why are antler measurements measured the way they are? I mean 2/8, etc. why is 2/8 not 1/4? I’m a machinist and it drives me nuts, lol.

    It is odd! But i think the trophy clubs (B&C and such) wanted a semi-simple system without getting too many decimal points.

    What do you marinate yours in?

    I tried 2 different things last week on ours. My favorite so far was a steak marinade with half a bottle of Franks hot sauce. It has a little bit of bite to it but isn't too hot. The other was a honey bourbon marinade, it's okay but not my favorite.

    My base is bottle of Dales steak seasoning,bottle of Tereyki merinate, and worchestsire! and then spices. red pepper flakes,onion and garlic powder,sugar to taste.ive been adding some vinegar and tender quick the last few batches.and add honey if you like it sticky n sweet. hope this helps.

    Dales must be an acquired taste. It’s my Dads go to for burgers. While good, I’d prefer it missing. How differently does the Jerky process treat the flavor?

    For jerky its like a salty,smokey,soy sauce...ive used it on grilled meat and like you i dont care for it on steaks and burgers
