Got started on my front bumper today

 

So are you just winging it or do you known how to calculate height loss, back of pipe, angles, etc? I bent a lot of emt when i did electrical and that shit gave me a headache.

 

So I designed the bumper in bend-tech software. I didn’t trust the measurements it gave me for the top bar (I should have), so I made that just using an angle finder. For all the other piece (six or so unmade yet) I’m going to use Bend-Techs measurements. I struggled with trying to understand how to make opposing bends without removing the tubing completely and inserting it the other way. I have a lot to learn but i like jumping in the deep end.

No I haven’t splurged on that yet. I really want one but am a little short on space and not sure if it’s a good investment quite yet. I’m hoping to have my bumper done this weekend and a couple other projects, and these should give me an idea if I need one.



these bars are the start to a bed rack for Shannon’s truck that’s going to be pretty cool if it works out.

 

So we are thinking about planning a trail ride and camping weekend here in March or April. Any of you guys have interest or dates that are a no go? We were planning on opening the weekend up to some new folks, and maybe having some contests.....

1st & 2nd weekends of April might be kinda iffy for me(kids are on spring break), but other than I should be good.

Duan you’re too kind! Shannon has talked about having a scoreboard and posting times around the pasture, so your idea just may come to fruition. I’m hoping everything drys up a bit by then.

Normally Im right there with you, But it will just be a recovery class if the ground stays this soft. All of us on all terrains will be like Disney on brown ice.
