meso stage 2 tail lights, morimoto fogs, meso chrome deletes, trd pro shift knob, speaker upgrades, trd pro grill, fj steelies with bfg ko2's, black out emblems/removed decals, rear front seat spacers, k&n filters, bhlm with amber covers and meso side markers, GreenLane offroad front skid plate....more to come
no- i used my harbour freight heat gun....i heated up the badge and adhesive area till it was almost too hot to touch, then peeled the badge off. Then rolled the adhesive backing right off. most of it came off easily. the remaining residue i cleaned off using my old trick of peanut butter and a paper towel.
sounds crazy but peanut butter is the absolute best goo remover ever. gets bubble gum out if kids hair, you name it.

i also used peanut butter and an old t-shirt to rub off the adhesive residue from the big TRD Sport decals. it took a bit of work but the peanut butter always works and there is zero sign left that you can tell there were ever decals

I thought that everyone knew this trick. BTW creamy peanut butter works best. For the really tough adhesive, mix the peanut butter with grape jelly.

No really, I've HEARD of using peanut butter like this most of my life, but never actually TRIED it. However I have gone through a few bottles of Goo-Gone. It's amazing stuff.

WD40 works also. Never heard of or thought to use peanut butter. Interesting. Learn something new every day!

What have I done to my 3rd gen today? Absolutely nothing - the only thing piled up higher than the parts I'm waiting to install is the snow outside!! :annoyed:

When I took my bedside decals off my 2016 I got all the residue off but you can still read the imprint it left on my truck. Nothing will get it off. I’m going to have to buff it probably. It’s like it burned into the paint.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
Went to install an aftermarket bed extender today, and when I removed tail gate cover, I found it had rubbed through the primer to some shiney metal. Cleaned it and hit it with primer (gray). Will probably hit it with some spray on bedliner when we warm up a bit. Now I'm wondering about the bed surface.

The bed is a plastic tub. The only metal you'll find underneath is the truck's frame.

I had a little marking left too. Possibly me working to hard to get the glue off :(but there are 2 marks left. I just make sure it’s got enough dirt on it to cover it up
