As someone who bought a PRO and traded for an OR... buy an OR or any other model/trim and mod it. I promise all that PRO TRD brand stuff is not worth the 10k. Besides the black exhaust tip definitely stole that for my OR...

The new Pro floor mats, shift knob, and tail lights aren't on the parts list, I don't think.

Minus the suspension it's a freaking appearance package. It's Toyota's version of the Z71 package.

stock fell because they delayed model 3 deliveries in China due to coronavirus. Expected? It’ll go back up lol not that I give a hoot anyways

And I beg to differ - any1 who would spend the extra money on a Trd pro for an open frame, v6, passenger truck with pretty lights, badges, and “decent” short travel suspension definitely fuqs their hand and crys themselves to sleep at night

I had the salesman I deal with at my dealership tell me guys are buying the OffRoad and making it look like a Pro. The big down size is the Pro holds it value so much more than the off-road. So you can add all the Pro mods but it won’t increase the value.

You can sell all the parts on here before you sell the truck.

and also if you spend $10k procuring all the parts to make it a pro (which is absurd anyways because the only main difference is suspension), you’d still have all the original parts to sell off to get some return.

anyway you slice the pie Trd pro is a rip off

Don’t worry scro. Tons of people CAN afford a pro, and still don’t buy one. Because it doesn’t do anything better than an OR. It’s fools gold.

The only way the Pro is not a rip off if you leave it the way it is and trade up. I got almost what I paid for my 17 Pro and now have the 2020 Pro. I did all the mods on my 15 Tacoma sport and yes sold all the mods. I’m just saying comparing numbers if anyone is worried about trade in value. I do agree yes just sell the mods off.

I may be wrong here but I don't think a PRO in reality is that much more expensive than a comparably equipped OR.
Certainly not $10,000. I don't currently own a PRO but I do have one on order. A 2020 in Army Green. MSRP +TTL was $49,500.
Got $20,000 trade for my 2012 DCSB Sport. MY OTD price was my truck and $26,000.
So I will have $46,000 in the truck including TTL. If I take the $1,500 TTL off then I will have $44,500 in just the truck.
If I build a comparable equipped OR on Toyota's website it's over $47,000.
If I bought that truck and got say 15% off MSRP that would still price the truck at $40,000-$41,000.
And 15% off MSRP on a 2020 OR at this time might be pushing it a bit.

not exactly a true comparison. Do all pros come with the sunroof and tonneau etc. that are included in that premium package you added for 7k?

I think the argument is if you want the pro model, you buy the pro. If you don’t care if it’s a true pro, you buy the OR and can add the pro suspension and wheels and skid etc. for less, or get better aftermarket options for each of those items.

The tonneau cover is not standard. It's about a $900 add on. The sunroof is standard on all PRO's.

I really want to meet the person who pays Toyota almost $1200 for some Pro Leafs.
