as far as capability, what does the pro get you that an offroad doesn't, besides the little better shocks and a snorkel? who cares about the leather/trim crap...i am talking capability to go down a trail.

With all those parts, Pro is heavier than an OR. So OR is faster in the 1/4 mile. Science.

i mean if the pro came with hardware that the or did not come with, that i cared about, i'd have gone the way of the pro. but, to me, my occasional offroad use of the truck doesn't warrant the shocks and other stuff. if your experience does, then go for it. jsut saying, tyou don't get a whole lot more capability with a pro especially if you are going to sink 10k-15k in to "upgrading". I can def see the value of better tires, armor under neath and a lift. Beyond that, my OR 4x4 is out the box ready for ANYTHING i will throw at it- your mileage may vary of course.

perfect example- my 2007 xterra 4x4 s model- i got that because it served all my purposes. i was on the fence at the time (december 2006) between it and an offroad model of the xterra- called OFF-ROAD. But it came with a 6spd manual, which at the time, i didn't want because most of my expected use would be on sand at the beach. Which it was. Plus i wanted a more point and shoot experience when offroading. If they had an auto in that model, i would have gotten it for the locking rear diff option alone- which my s model does not have. but i have been very happen with it and it's served me very well..and still does.

The list is not all inclusive. The vast majority of Pro cloner’s start off with an OR model, they have the locking diff covered.

This was implied. To avoid the nit pickers, I guess needs to be stated in the original post.

No hater here but other than the Fox suspension, all I see is a dressed up Off Road. I run a few Pro mods on my Sport because I like the look, OEM Pro grill, Pro exhaust, Rigid lights (clone) with OEM bezels, Pro skid plate, added some 5100s then some TRD 4Runner Pro wheels with some Toyo at2s, lather heated seats, homelink mirror and a remote start and I'm good to go, plus I got a longbed and a scoop! I had this build in my head before I got the truck back in 2018 and knew exactly what I wanted and could not be happier.
