    I'd double check you're actually covered, Geico I cannot find any option to carry glass outside of comprehensive coverage. Of which I thought when I moved here I made sure my autos had $500 comp/ with $100 glass but that is no longer and option it seems. Found out to be remembering it wrong.

    * edit
    My recollection was incorrect. Just got off the phone with Geico---when I moved from Wisconsin which has the separate glass deductibles for comprehensive coverage, the policy in California changed and only has glass covered under comprehensive at the same deductible ie my $500 ( per Geico it has always been this way in California policies)

    I've used mine many times for glass (windshields) as well as a theft.
    Legit $0 comprehensive coverage from Allstate.

    I had my rear passenger side window broken back in November. It cost me nothing to have it replaced. Just looked at my coverage. My comprehensive, which "pays for vehicle and glass damage due to, among other causes, theft, vandalism, explosion and fire," has a $0 deductible.

    I've got $0 glass coverage also
    I think it raised my policy like $20 a year

    The first time I had to replace a windshield on my WRX, and my deductible was higher than the charge that I saw on the Safelite bill, I decided to drop my comp to $0.
    I've since had probably close to a dozen windshield replacements (multiple vehicles) and have never paid a penny to get them swapped out.

    Another advantage of the $0 comprehensive deductible is that when @OneGiraffe had her Forester broken into, and the subs were taken - we were reimbursed the full replacement value, without having to deduct anything. :thumbsup:

    Glad you guys got set the $0 deductible level for comprehensive, wish I knew when I moved to California, to set it at $0 or at most $250. I'll check the comparison prices and see what's a good value point for me.

    :cheers:

    *edit
    Updated deductible to $100 for all cars, will cost me only $80/year more and next windshield will be an oem not aftermarket :spending::evil::facepalm:

    I'm pretty sure Ive seen you around 59th St or 58th, I travel that way daily mostly in the Tundra. If your worried about the jack methode you could ratchet strap the coil down to keep it from going anywhere. Are you swapping to bill'ies?

    There easy to pull and take to a shop to have swapped out, cant recommend anyone as i do most my own work. Never tried the jack method. I would call shops that do alignments, not big name shops as they usually wont install owner supplied parts but smaller shops. The spring swap shouldn't be expensive and they can do the alignment at the same time.

    Anything more than about an inch will give you some serious “Bro” lean without AAL’s, blocks or a new leaf pack.
