It sits about 1/4" above the top of the antenna. you should clear fine based on this pic.

Bedflex could cause contact on the edges but i doubt it

Wanted to share my solution for making the wiring look nice...

    IMG_20200205_215402.jpg

Here's what each time down is composed of:
    - m6 x 1.00 8mm screw
    - 22mm black cable tie mount (link)
    - Heavy duty zip ties
    - trackNut

All paired with 5/8" wire loom.

    IMG_20200206_100438.jpg

I have 88 extra zip tie mounts if anyone wants some. Just let me know.

Only change I might make is soldering the wires so my DT connectors aren't hanging outside the loom.

Also it's important that the screws are button head.

Spacing of mounts is outside ones are 3in from edge and each inward one is 8.75” from previous.

Anyone go from a Prinsu(or similar design) to Uptop ? Wondering if their fairing design is prone to more wind noise or not?

I've narrowed down my choices to Uptop or Sherpaequipmentco

we have very little to no wind noise as long as everything is set up properly. Crosswinds can cause a small whistle but no brand can avoid that

I can echo this point. I have not heard any noise on this rack yet.

You should be good. I had to cut my alpha a bit so that my tent would fit more centered on the truck.

It took me way to long to realize you cut one side only because it is a flip out.

    Just getting started...
    @NonTraditional @upTOPoverland @upTOPOverland_Drew

Hey guys, the radio silence and getting blanked is getting a little discouraging and it's feeling as though the only way to ensure getting any info at all from you is to move things away from PM's and in to the public thread.

January 16th, Drew messaged me after the public post regarding the botched powder coat on the batch of cross bars, to which I replied on the 20th (I had been out of the area and away from the comp) that I understood and chalked it up to 'life happens'. However, Drew also said there were about 25-ish orders being packed up that day, and that he would update me on the status of my particular order when he went by the shop. Cool deal, still waiting patiently.

January 27th, a week and a half later, I sent a quick PM asking Drew if I could possibly bundle in a quickwire harness and some tracnuts in to my order so maybe they could all be bundled together on the outgoing shipment. Also was kind of hoping this might serve as a reminder that I was awaiting an update on my order still. I mean... surely wanting to send some more money in the direction of the company might get a response?

    :spending:

So I continue to wait patiently. Silence. :spy:

January 30th I finally send a message to Drew, specifically asking if there's any chance for the update on my order he said he would get me on Jan 16th. I gave it a solid two weeks before I made a point of bothering him about it, as I didn't want to be "that guy", always bugging and harassing about things. :sorry:

    More silence. :boink:

Ok, I'll give it another week. That brings us to today. Three weeks since being told I'd get an update on my order. Haven't heard a peep out of anyone from upTOP, yet there have been posts to numerous people publicly in the thread the last few days. At this point, I feel this warrants a firm "what gives?"

Just so there's no mistake. I still have ZERO issue if my rack hasn't shipped yet because of the powder coating hiccup. I know there are just some things that fall outside the full control of companies sometimes.

What I DO have an increasing issue with, as I said in my previous post where I feel I was pretty gracious about it, is when someone spends a grand and a half on your product, and then they get silence from your end when it comes to something you specifically said you would do for them. I'm not asking for anything outlandish in any fashion. Just basic customer service and an update every so often, even if it's just a quick public post in the thread. I mean... I absolutely 100% sang your guys' praises in this very same thread at the beginning of my experience with you, and I was totally excited moving forward. :bananadance:

Though, in addition, I do also wonder about this...
I paid for mine December 6th. Even if I discount the whole two week period for Christmas and New Years, that still puts me a day short of 7 weeks waiting for mine to ship (9 weeks in full). While it may be none of my business, I feel others as eager as myself should know they may be in for more of a wait, depending I suppose.

Sorry if this seems a little OTT, but while I'm the type of person who is quick to praise when things are going properly, I am also the type of person who believes that this is the kind of thing the public should be aware of. It's feedback posts regarding how companies conduct their affairs where their customers are concerned that influences decisions of future potential customers, especially if a trend starts to happen for better or worse.

Genuinely hoping, and looking forward to, hearing back from someone. Thank you, guys. :)

Wow. I definitely feel for you. I would hope they would they try to make some type of amends. I had a pleasant transaction with UpTOP so I hope this doesn’t become the norm.

Hey, we are sorry for the delay and have been working hard to get this out. Since this is an international order (APO) we had to figure out the logistics as this is our first time shipping with this process. The great news is that it is going out on Thursday 2/13/2020. We do our best to take care of everyone as we continue to grow there will be some learning curves. As such we will be making sure to include some upTOP extras headed to you!!

In the future anyone can email us directly at Support@uptopoverland or send us a direct message on instagram.

Yes, I’m running a 10 gauge with MC4 connectors. Need to get a shorter wire as I bought a 20 footer and I ended up not needing anywhere near that amount. To run what I did. Prob will get away with 5 feet. Maybe 10 max.

Thanks! I just ordered those connectors and wire. Going prewired for a future panel.
