It's been a good couple days for me. A project I'm involved with for my side gig (sole proprietorship - Ecological consulting company) got a bunch of social media press. 18 million views and counting on Twitter and my client has been interviewed 15x for news shows in the last two days as a result of the viral video. He even mentioned my company in the "special thanks" section.

Look What Wildlife is Moving Under the Highway Near Gilroy
    https://openspacetrust.org/blog/wildlife/

Colbert even mentioned it on the late night show.
Right at the beginning of the video, ignore the rest. Then, today I went into work (primary gig, 9-5) finished up a work product I've been working on for 2 months and hit send. A minute later the power went out and an hour later I got sent home with pay for the day because the power was still out. Came home and my wife bought me a 4x4 magazine. Happened to be the one with the @jberry813 article. Sometimes life is just good, no bullshit.

I like that place. Their food is pretty good too. They don't seem to change their menu all that often but it's good.

I spotted a badger on a golf course in the East Bay. Scared the living shit out of me and was super confused about what I saw. Never knew they lived around here. I was glad I got to see of them lil critters.

PM me if that was recent. My colleagues are currently studying them and looking for current locations to set up hair snares to get samples.

Hey that's rad. I took some wildlife corridor classes at De Anza college a while ago and we were down there in coyote valley. I loved doing it, in another life I could have gone into that stuff for a career.

Do you know Ryan Phillips? I did lots of classes with him, super cool guy.

That's awesome. Ryan and I are friends and collaborate on a few monitoring projects in Santa Clara County. Not sure she overlapped with you, but Tanya Diamond (owns Pathways for Wildlife) who use to teach at De Anza and got her start there is my partner on the project with the badger video and that was her camera.

    Yes.
So I need some tacomaworld help, got this battery from genesis off road thinking it would be a simple swap from my stock battery turns out it was not. So now I have a $300 battery in my garage that doesn’t fit unless I get longer cables which I’m not gonna do cause I don’t want to cross them over each other and have it look crappy. Options?

    In.

Could even do a beer feast at my house, as an option. Cheaper, and better view. But a bar is good, too. Might be some visual stimulation there.

That's rad! Tanya sounds familiar too, I just can't quite remember if she was the one that I leaned some print tracking from.

See if they'll swap it for a 34R. You've probably figured out the R stands for reversed by now. Shipping will cost but I bet it's less then buying the correct battery.

    Yes.
Thanks that’s what I’m hoping for, or I’ll just have to spend the extra $800 to run the duel battery setup :)

    Probably then, lol.

Working with her and Ryan are among my best memories from my time at De Anza. Such an awesome program they had there. I haven't really kept an eye on it since I was there in 2007-10 though, so I hope it's still going well.
