Eww. I hate the pushy sales people. I told my guy that there's nothing he can do to get me to change my mind. I know what I want and if you can't provide that, I'll keep shopping. Legally they can't call if you told them not to call anymore. So maybe some bargaining chips would be:

1.) they're clearly desperate for the sale
2.) "beat my current offer or stop calling"

 

They sent me an email earlier saying “I couldn’t reach you via phone or text so I’m emailing you” so I responded with my first sentence. Email is the best way to contact me during the week as I cannot answer the phone at the office. What do they do? Fucking call me and leave a message saying they read my email and to call back. Did you not just fucking read where I said to contact me via email during the week? And then 5 mins later they email me back saying “I believe we have found a better way to go!”
Unless your “better way” is to sell me the bike under msrp or at my current offer and include the vip maintenance plan and maybe some extended warranties, quit contacting me.

They supposedly work in teams. Yet I got 3-4 fucking people blowing my shit up every day. I honestly don’t even know if I’m going to go in tomorrow. Although, I almost want to do it just to walk in and say: This is what’s going to happen. You guys are going to either beat this offer and make it worth my time, or I’m walking out right now and I don’t want to be contacted again.

Just go to the sales manager and tell him his people can't follow simple instructions, annoy the fuck out you and the only way they're going to make any money off you is if they beat your quote, including tax/title/dealer fees/etc by at least $500 or something.

 

I decided to call them while driving home. I said I got a bill of sale filled out for me for 15.5 out the door. Guy goes “oh shit. Did you buy it” so I told him not yet I wanted to see if you can beat it. He said he’d call me back in a few minutes. It’s been 20 minutes now I don’t foresee them beating that price

 

Still no call back. Don’t think I’m getting one at this point

I meant a call back from my local HD dealer. They did just call me back though and said they would match the price if I bring in the bill of sale that the Chicago dealer gave me. But I don’t think I’m even going to bother. The folks over at the Chicago dealer have been straightforward with me and super cool, I’d rather give them my business at this point.

I would have just rode home from the local place. But ya. I’m not gonna go in tomorrow and waste my day off. Free tires ain’t worth their shittiness. Every single aspect of dealing with the Chicago dealer has been more pleasant and straight forward than the HB dealer has. The finance lady is even trying to get my apr through Harley down to the rate my credit union offers. They have not dealt me a single ounce of bullshit thus far

 

I’m in Orlando for another 12 hours. Make a deal with Orlando HD and I’ll throw it on the plane with me! Haha.
