I'm one of the guys on the Stage 2 Waiting list, but I will continue to wait until the "backlit TRD strap" has been incorporated into the knob. That's one less TACO owner vying for the upcoming Stage 2's.

I agree, a return in this instance isn’t justified (honestly surprised it was thrown out there) . What is acceptable in this instance is to sell it before the drop and you can possibly sell for cost to an Eager buyer or for a small hit.

imagine all the people who buy and (plan to) install later then 6 plus months go buy and ask to get returns for the newer model. Ie buy 2019 model yr tv and ask your money back 6 months later to exchange for 2020 model yr

I think his ask was to send it back and have MESO do the upgrade, likely at some cost. The shifter is the same of course.

    That was my interpretation.

I get it buddy, I agree.

I have seen Meso do some pretty admirable stuff though, send a new minimalist fob on the sell of a busted one. But yeah, a little far fetched but some people take a chance.

I’ll be like most and buy the updated version and drop the original for cheap if not gift it.

Ok, I can see that as a reasonable ask cost plus services but literally once it’s opened the glue is gone and swapping out the switches a 2nd time will be a breeze.

but if that was the ask, I read it wrong and apologize for how my post may have come off. It’s just I see so many people asking/requesting things that make you go huh… seriously

Fify. He has definitely gone above and beyond any reasonable action. ie People that are trying to rush to order on a hot release and buy 1 by 1 incurring shipping on each then coming straight here requesting to combine shipping and get reimbursed cost. That to me is something that as the buyer I decided to do and you live with your choice rather than risk a sold out and add everything in 1 cart.

you can have good customer service and still tell people to pound sand if needed

Thats what I was going to do, but didn’t want to modify my OG Stealth knob. So I ended up just getting a homelink mirror.

Still haven’t done anything with my 2nd switch but the plan was always the front cam and I’ll hopefully finally do it when I swap everything over

@MESO i already have the Stage 2 DIY kit. When this updated kit gets released are you able to sell the updated switches and connectors separately? Or would I have to repurchase a new DIY kit?

I’m pretty sure that’s the whole diy kit- switches/connectors…

unless your talking 86 the wire? Then you still need terminals and wire (because yours is shorter than revision 2) I also would think the price is 95% mold/switches and connectors and profit/overhead with very little actually being the wire itself

Will you be offering the backlight as a DIY as well? I'd prefer to keep my Pro knob I already have, but love the idea of getting a red light to match the Pro interior trim.

Light bar so I can flash it. Also planning on putting the ECT switch on the right because the left is easier to press with your thumb.

Again RushT thanks for looking out boss!

    Those look so awesome!

Question as one of the original V1 owners; Will I need to upgrade to a new DIY kit for the backlit TRD strap when they come out, or will what I have now suffice?
