When I was with Kia, we got a hour for diag. That's it. If you couldn't make a decision it was on you. Most of these unknown's take hours. Now if a typical 0300 or some shit come in, we were making gravy, and pulling 70-90 hours a week, however, it just don't work that way anymore. The senior tech's are gone, owning their own shops, or linemen for the County....Damn I love that song...lol

I noticed a while ago you had a heating problem. Was this resolved, or did they just fix it and send it?

Isn't this caused by the fuel pump problem?

Its the CPS sensor. Just replace it if the dealership won’t . Might save your life .

Yes, cannot recall the exact quote but they decided there was a faulty gasket on the injector rail that was causing my issue.

And they had full confidence in the other rail gasket? Seems odd.

I checked the coolant and it was low. Topped it off and its been holding steady since. Have not mentioned that to Toyota at this time. If I loose coolant again will take it to my husband’s mechanic and have him do a pressure check and go from there.....

I agree.... I an over 60 female, but I did write service a few years a while back. I have sort of a mechanical knowledge, but no expert. But it didn’t make sense to replace half the injectors (and one gasket).... since it happened again less than 2 months after that, I think they guessed wrong...

It's been back three times I believe the lemon law is pretty universal. At the very least it should qualify for some other type of citrus

I had that discussion with the service dept the second time it was in for this, but since I’m an old lady they shrugged me off. Seriously need to heed this advice, it’s rather unnerving to have my vehicle die on me, this many times....

Has to have been repaired for the same thing 3 times before it can apply, also, had to start within the original factory warranty (if I understood what I read correctly)... I will have to check my receipts for the mileage the first time it was in.... but I think it was still under factory warranty. I am thankful I bought an extended warranty. (Bought the truck used with just under 20,000 miles). So, this will be the 3rd repair, if it does it again, only then might I be able to inquire about the lemon law.

Could be, but what I read just stated repairs started while vehicle still under factory warranty... didnt see anything about “first” owner..... will be sure beforehand...

"The Lemon Law only applies if the vehicle was bought new"

Tennessee's own website says must be bought new, page. 15

    page. 16

"Extended warranties are not considered in determining the time to file suit."

If you're serious about this, would you send her a check for the part? Why would you just arbitrarily recommend a part without knowing any codes present or history of the vehicle?
