    Sigh....

You’ve fallen victim to the “everyone must have UCAs” crowd.

If you’re getting the OME kit, the complete one thats like 1200, the fact that it doesn’t incluse UCAs should clue you in that they aren’t necessary. It’s more of a want.

You do not need them unless you can’t get your truck aligned after you lift it. Only then would you need aftermarket UCAs that have a different geometry designed for lifted applications.

With that kit, though, definitely get the diff drop kit. They cost like $30 and are easy to install. Get one with the spacers for your skid plate, or you’ll need to modify the skid plate for it to fit.

figured someone would chime in and go to the extreme.

1). Never said 4 grand. I didn’t spend that.. nor would I. In fact, just 5100s and a new UCA.

2). Never said external resis wtf lol.

    3) never said those people you refer to would notice the difference.

I’ll repeat it again since you missed it. He’ll wish he had a UCA. Could give two fucks what what spring and shock combo he uses - fuck with factory geometry without correcting it to some degree is dumb and asking for issues if you truck leaves pavement. Not to mention would clear up half the “why doesn’t my tire fit” bullshit threads with the added caster after adjusting the LCA cams.

but what do I know, only fit 285s with no rubbing on stock ride height...ya know “impossible.” Lol

    Let’s make this simple:

Pavement princess? Sure, pass on UCA and just be happy other then tires getting chewed up a little faster as alignment won’t be perfect.

Actually off-road hard-ish? Have fun is all
    I can say... lol

    yup

Cool story bro. Now go back to the 3rd gen section with that shit. It doesnt apply here, but I’m glad you’re an expert. No one was talking about tires rubbing anyway.

I was being facetious about the shocks to make a point that counters your apparent need to spend a bunch of money on UCAs.

We don’t “need” ucas unless over a certain hight, no need to spend a bunch of money on shit we dont need.
