I have one of those ODB II things with bluetooth and I can pull codes to my cell phone (and also get realtime engine data when running) which is kind of cool. I've used it extensively to read codes and clear CEL's.

I was pretty salty about it but in the end I just wanted the truck to work again. If I'd have known that the actuators are not designed or really able to be serviced I would've replaced the front ADD, then jumped right in and dropped the t-case to swap the t-case actuator. In the end I ran out of time due to increasing winter weather preventing motorcycle commuting and it was looking like I might be moving 900 miles away within 30-60 days (which I did).

That's the kind of thing I was looking at.. Just not sure at which one. They can be really cheap or really expensive...
As far as I can tell, some people swear by the cheap ones so this is what I was thinking... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PJPHEBO/

yikes! Hope it slows down and you’re getting some good OT cash.

    Sup Ian

I had one that I used with the Torque Pro app. Worked with my Volkswagens before I got the Taco, didn’t work in either of our Tacoma’s. I’d like to get another one to do some real-time temp monitoring.

upon searching Amazon, apparently I bought it in 2014 for like $20.
