The center point of your prescription is very important.
I had a setup a little off to one side and high.
And I felt off but not like you.
Went back an hour later and had them redo it.

Like I said
You need to point your nose where you are looking and not look out the side.
Some I’m sure just can’t.
But for me the dividing line just bugged the crap out of me

Well wet here 2 day total of 8.31 inches on rain gauge now still raining . Lot of flooding so far 51 roads closed .school closed tomorrow lots of wind damage we are good just flooding creek in bottom of pasture got up about 6 feet but we still have power

It's been raining here for 3 days. But temps dropped last night and I woke up to a couple of inches of snow. Schools closed yesterday and today because of wide spread flu and other bugs making their rounds

 

@Plain Jane Taco have you posted about what plugs you use in 4.0? (I now see the main benefit of this thread as simply lettin you do all the research on parts)

Indeed I have. OTC at Autozone. Probably a bit much to change them every 30k (that's what it calls for). But that's me.

Rig runs flawlessly on them.

 

Yup, Recently became aware of the 'recommended' 30k service. I bought the truck at 28k, now at 44k, so I'm thinking I'll add this to my 'weather warmup' honeydo list.

If you go with these don't try to gap them. You'll damage the electrode.

And also, don't be surprised if you pull NGKs out of one side and Densos out of the other. Completely normal. That's the way they come from the factory.

 

next is to revisit the zerk fittings locations on these 2.5 gens. On FB this morning, dude with a 2013 showed his carrier bearing utterly toasted.

Does the carrier bearing have a zerk? Didn't think it did. Could be wrong though.

 

Didn't appear to, but the u joint next to it did, and it just put it in my craw that I want to get under there next oil change and hit/inspect everything.

Yep. That's what I was thinking. No zerk on the carrier. But yeah...lube those u-joints, for sure. Being a PreRunner, my joints are non serviceable
