Who cares. The amount of arguing is pretty stupid to say the least. The guy seems to be well aware that products like these come with a risk and he was willing to accept it.

The guy used a product which has resulted in a fix in terms of a leak being corrected. He never said it was the correct fix or even a permanent fix. Opinions are fine but people getting heated over Blue Devil is really stupid. His experience literally has no affect on anyone else and the feedback is appreciated but I believe half of the people are going overboard. Sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't.... Adding a bottle of Blue Devil is far cheaper and easier than replacing a headgasket...and has anyone even mentioned the fact that the mating surfaces may need to be resurfaced? That is a heck of alot more involved than just replacing a headgasket.

I could see if this was another LED or HID in halogen housing debate which is an actual safety concern, but this is nothing of that nature.

Glad it worked for you bud! Hopefully it lasts! To everyone else, Happy Friday! Have a great and safe weekend!

That's how TW got polluted with wrong or misinformation, and some poor dumb ass might read it, take it for a bible and screw up his truck. If this is how it's gonna be, my next thread will be "My gas mileage improved after I peed into my truck's gas tank". :jerkoff:

Well that is definitely not a childish response.......

The potential downfalls of using this product are clear. If not, they can be easily stated without acting like an enraged child. To be direct and end your ridiculous and useless reply, what is the problem if the Blue Devil stops his headgasket leak without any other sort of issue?

Blue Devil could fix the problem.
Blue Devil may not fix the problem.
Blue Devil may fix/not fix the problem and create other issues.

The risk is up to the user.

^There. That sums it up. Now when people search for a headgasket repair in the bottle they can be fully informed!

"If the Blue Devil stops headgasket leak without any other sort of issue" then I would say all mechanic's quotes 1000+ dollars for head gasket job are outrageous - 40 dollars for materials and 1 hour labor should be adequate.

BTW My childish response (obviously) is the reaction to childish naive of fixing the mechanical problem with "top secret proprietary formula", and hope it would work. And if it doesn't then it's "user error". I put this thing on the same shelf as other snake oil products including magnets that are improving gas mileage by aligning a fuel particles in magnetic order.

Internet if full of crappy misinformation playing on people's trust and hope (only 40 bucks, if it's wasted - oh well) but I refuse to accept it on TW 1st gen forum and I will oppose to any of them popping up.

OP can say whatever OP wants, OP is entitled to OP's own opinion, just like all the other members on here, just don't get butt hurt if people don't agree that these type of quick fixes are the shit because they really see what can possibly do NEGATIVELY.

If the stuff worked why wouldn’t they make head gaskets out of it in the first place?

Because it doesn't work and everyone that has ever had it stop a head gasket leak was a liar or extremely incompetent
