Not a nitpick, but payload capacity refers to weight of cargo CARRIED by the truck and tow capacity is, obviously, what it is rated to tow. :DI'm sure you knew already, more just in case for others reading that might not know difference between payload cap and towing cap

Lol good on you for that before I jumped in

I deal with that every day with these people that buy 3500, 4500, and 5500s.

CA DMV requires people to declare their CGW or GVW in order to complete registration. Some people get it, and others are confused like a mofucker...

Yeah you’re limited to 3,500 pounds. According to Google the 1987 BMW 325i weighs 2,864 Pounds. A normal dolly is usually 750 pounds putting you at 3,600 pounds. You don’t have the ability to use a trailer for its too heavy. You have to use a dolly and tow the car by it’s rear wheels.

So once I put together all of my parts, I'll bring it over and drop it off. We'll figure out your install fee and I'll just pay you to do the conversion. You get to work on a project (as if you don't have enough), make some cash and I get to relax and be lazy... sound good?

I'm still in shock (*cat mouth gif)that a fully loaded 3500 can even get to a $90,000 price point. I guess I'm more shocked that folks pay that. But I guess if you're in a business that actually needs something that big, what else can you do? It's not like you can order a Hino or something.... I'd feel like I was getting the worst non lubed ream job in the history of auto purchases....

Well that truck wasn't exactly for hauling (tho it could being a Dually with an aisin).

The people that pay +90k are those that just want to show it off.

No I'm saying it was a Dually, Cummins, with an Aisin transmission, came out to $90k

You can save $10k by dropping from a Limited down to a Laramie....which still gets you a 12" screen, cooled and heated seats, dual pane sunroof and more...

I reread it and figured it out. So that was the top of the line with every option available? the 90k one?
