Mine is relatively fast, or seems to be. Different model then he has. I know I can watch from cam to phone instantly. I’ve only downloaded once and I started it then drove so not sure on timing. When I get a chance I’ll time it. None the less mine is on a magnetic mount, his is suction cup I think so easy enough to remove

Great post and that adapter is perfect but like mentioned it’s not available:(. This would have been great to know before I got The OWL setup.

It was an Amazon direct ship so the company sends them to amazon to sell, hopefully just a short out of stock

It's pretty easy to remove the SD card since it's on the driver's side. You can move the rear view mirror a little to get full access to the camera (I installed mine to the left of the rear view mirror). The app is also pretty good for downloading videos. What I normally do is connect to the camera, find the footage I want, edit the section down to a minute or two (don't download the whole segment) and download to my phone. It takes just a few minutes and is easier than popping out the SD card, going to my laptop and downloading. Plus there is less of a chance of knocking the camera off center.

does that still allow the motion sensor to kick the camera on when the vehicle is off or is there no power running to it?

it doesn’t distort the picture at all, just makes the footage a little darker. i had limos on an old car with a camera pointing out the back and i could see most things up close, but throw some distance and some headlights and it was useless

Mine doesn’t record with vehicle off now but has an optional parking cable ( not sure what that is, prob a way to hard wire it) then it would record.

    The parking cable interests me.

Also for people concerned about the wireless thing I saw an accident happen in front of me. After making sure no one was injured i went to my truck and downloaded the video. Edited the time to just the accident 10 seconds prior and had it before the police showed up.

So I'm not sure if you want to instantly watch it like it's a streaming service but I have the garmin dash cam 45

I'd like to do the front cam...did you set up with the any-time rear cam??

On the dash cam did you have any plans on installing a rear or the parking mode?
I'm as concerned with it parked as driving.

    From their site...

Yes on the front cam. It was plug and play to the radio with the Car Camera Assist RFCC module.

I'm thinking about installing rear camera as well (also a Garmin Mini Dash cam). Except, I'll have it powered via one of the rear USB connections.
