Meso interrior lights

Anyone feel meso led interrior lights are too bright? Girlfriend says feels getting in the truck feels like walking into a gas station at night.

 

Maybe he will come out with some lenses for you.

 

I too...Thinking I should have gone RED!

 

I went with one red and one white for this reason. I traded one for one with a member here.

 

i did the same for the front, and kept white in the back. still plenty bright and much better than stock, but the really nice thing is i put the red in the passenger map light, so when we're cruising down the road and someone needs to look for something that red is good enough to see anywhere in the truck and yet not destroy your eyes. PERFECT setup IMO

 

I soldered some inline resistors.

My gf has said similar before. I interchange between red and white often depending on what we’re doing but me personally, love the bright.

At some point lighting up your interior like an airport runway could get aggravating. Y’all had to know that, going into it.

 

Yep white is blinding, it’s too much of a good thing IMO. Went w all red...love it.

 

Nowhere in the description said the led upgrade is going to leave 3rd degree burns from immediate exposure. So resistors seem to be working well. About 6 mo. Tested so far

 

I thought the white maps were going to be a little on the bright side, but I couldn't be happier.
I do not, and have not ever used interior lighting while on the road, so there's that.

 

I want to buy the white dome light, if anyone is willing to ship to Canada.

 

This is why I am waiting for the dual color red/white to come out. It will have less white output because it will have less white leds.

 

How many ohms and resistors did you use... they look like 1/4 watt...do they get warm?

I got the version 1 red. Although they are cool, basically useless fir lighting anything up. I still need a flashlight to do interior work
