Can we change the title of this thread. I came here thinking someone needed actual help.

Maybe change help to suggestions.

Help threads are generally reserved for people are truly need help, stranded, stuck on trail, etc

 

This is an insurance claim. If you're going to try and hobble it together for $1500 prepare for disappointment in the final product unless you have a total hookup on paint and genuine OEM parts

 

Weird. I guess I'm just old school and don't wheel without a friend or a means of getting onsite help for a breakdown. Seems like you'd use your phone to make a call and not a post, but this is the narcissistic world we live in were everyone thinks they are the center of attention and all are waiting for the next post.

I'd loose the good driver discount for not having any tickets or claims for some many years. No biggie.

Was in insurance for 20+ years-claims litigation side. Every state's DOI-department of insurance have thresholds established for surcharges by insurance companies fault or no fault. Sometimes from dollar $1 being paid. If you have a lienholder on this vehicle chances are the insurance company wont just "cash you out" and may force you to put the vehicle back in pre accident condition to protect the interest of the lienholder per a lienholder clause within your policy. Now if you own it out right-do whatever you like with the money. Just report the accident, get a full sheet written, this will need a tear down and likely some frame rack set up time to determine if it needs to be pulled. You may have some re-bar damage as well along with frame horn. Best bet-make the claim-you pay the premium and this damage will out weigh that cost even with the deductible assessed.

 

I bet it is at least a $5000 dollar fix to stock.

i didnt click the link to the bumper. but not wanting to spend 1k to fix the truck right and then posting a bumper that cost 1500 doesnt seem too logical

I was in the flow of traffic doing 35 on a bypass rated for 65mph. Not to mentioned one of the three other cars was a police office who stayed in the center lane without hitting anyone

Yep seems to never fail. I'm checking out of my own post because of dumb crap. Once final OVTune2.0 drops I'm only checking into TW for a technical reference or two, too many keyboard warriors here.

I'm just trying to help you. It seems that 35 was still too fast. Your speed needs to be regulated relative to the road conditions and not the maximum speed. Remember, every time that you buckle up, you are carrying precious cargo. Please treat it as such.
Ps. Bypasses are the first thing to freeze. Steering or braking on ice will cause loss of traction.

 

Start building your parts list and chase the prices on bam wholesale. Expect $2K+ for parts.

Bringing this post back from the dead for one last request from the TW community. I've gotten the front fender properly aligned and the hood is all good. Going with a compete lower bumper that doesn't require any part of the original like most do.

All I need now is the radiator grill. If I order online and pickup at my local dealer I'll get a bit of a discount. This truck is the Magnetic Gray Limited Trim but I really want to go with the TRD Pro style grill. So here is the question.

Does anyone know the "kit" number where a I get all that's needed, including fasteners, or do you have to piecemeal everything? Toyota's website for parts is confusing.
