1.05 base or stock? Personally kinda tired of always worried about this or that. Timelines. Checking for updates daily. It had become part of a schedule. Almost obsessive. Seems unhealthy. Stock and stop worrying.

Have you tried a 1.05 BASE Tune? Might have the Tip-In your looking for with no 5700 RPM cut out.

I drove 1.5 about 6 months ago for a short time. But after matt had been saying 2.0 is better then 1.5 all around. I'm unclear as to fuel learning. Is it currently shut off for 2.0 beta and will be active like the website says for final? Does 1.5 learn fuel consumption? There has been so many updates and confusion with all of it. Information everywhere. It's kinda tedious reading and not knowing if the information is up to date with the tunes and the website doesnt seem to change....... if stock is learning fuel consumption and its shifting better then when I first was driving stock from the dealer why not let it ride for a couple thousand miles and see how it does?

Mat only released one version of the 2.0 beta with OLE (Octane Learning Enabled) - 01009. The rest of the betas have been octane-specific.

Do Not Use 1.05 or 1.05.1 on a 2019 04B31 truck! I repeat don’t do it, you will enevatabily find yourself in the “Break Overide Malfunction” limp mode. It sure will scare the crap out of you if it happens when trying to enter the freeway while merging in front of an 18 wheeler. Just run the stock factory tune until the 2.0 final arrives.

Edit - added zeros to version numbers :rasta:

See so 1.05 is out of the options too. So for 04B31 literally the only tune that has no issues seems to be stock..

Won't be much longer and there will be new final tunes for 2019 and all others.

I know there is quite a bit people are waiting on.
I hope everyone likes it when we do release.

The 2019 is especially odd, it is the only one that does that cut out, using same shift maps as others like the 2020, and only the 2019 has the issue

So is it not worth buying the OVTune for my 2019 right now? I should wait til the final 2.0 version is released? I’m slightly confused. I think that’s what I’m getting out of the earlier post.

If you are going to buy the tune, buy now so you are ready when the final 2.0 drops. You’ll also be able to use the betas before it drops if you want.

I would purchase the tune kit now so you will be ready to flash as soon as 2.0 final becomes available. I suspect there will be a rush of orders slowing down the registration process when it drops from people like you sitting on the fence.

It depends if you like the idea of saving over $100.00 or not?

Ovtune is definitely worth purchasing now. Even with the all of the beta development. Having the ability to switch tunes, clear codes, clear learned memory, and always being able to go back stock. Witch the stock map is loaded is absolutely nothing like my truck when I first bought it. Stock map from dealer brand new was HORRIBLE. Stock map reloaded after 10,000 miles and trying all the other ovtunes is pretty smooth compared to when I first got it.

Buy now with the discount and be ready to tune when it drops, if you like to be prepared and save money that is.

I know a handful of you on here have found some of my videos useful but here is a month review with 91 2.0 and Over a 1000 miles with OVtune. I broke down the video in the YT comments if you want a specific topic.

sale right now, free updates, and 2.0 right around the corner. :)

Here is the really weird part... and why I can't definitively say "what it is."

    1. I have been compiling data of trucks that have this happen (and report it to us) so I can get info about their tire size, if they are using gears, what octane, etc.
    2. It does not happen on all 2019s, even with IDENTICAL tires/wheels.
    3. It does seem to be *most common* on trucks that are stock except have tires size of : p265/65r17
    4. The shift bog is happening under 6000 RPM, even though the rpm limiter is set at 6800. So it's not coming from a fuel cut (not rev limit cut)

While reports are limited in these areas, so far :
    1. I have not heard of reports of this happening on our 4.88 version tunes
    2. It does not happen on trucks with 4.88 gears or 5.29 gears

However, 4.88 and 5.29 gears have their own separate issue (speed limitation in 6th)
