Agreed on the manual. It's not available on the DCLB, only the DCLB. Also along with your 'more power' comment, bring back the 4.0 litre. I won't purchase one with the 3.5 or 3.6...whatever.

For the fourth Gen I just want Toyota to stop relying on fanboys and innovate a bit. I don't care if it's a hybrid or maybe some new features the Tacoma doesn't need to be behind the competition by five years for the sake of reliability. The Tacoma has its own problems, just make it worth the love and attention the community has for the badge.

As an aside who else thinks Toyota pulls the manual for the fourth Gen? I mean it'll cause rage on here but once the Tundra and Tacoma are basically the same underneath why have the option? There are less cost savings if you need to have two transmissions for the same engine in the factories and let's be honest, Toyota is chasing dollars with their mkves as of late such as expanding Mexican production. Also the last company to unify their midsize and full size trucks was Nissan. The unification lead to a full sized truck that had undersized differentials that loved to grenade and a mid sized truck that was heavy as hell compared to the competition.

A Pro with less stickers, and more winches, bumpers, and sliders.

Let's also have a "throwback" version that's not as big as the old Tundras. You know, an actual mid-size truck.

Uuuh that's kind of thier brand though. It's how Toyota started booming in the US market. There whole schtick is to continually refine for reliability instead of redesign for revolving sales.

That’s planned for the 8th gen coming out sometime in 2060. Passenger power seat as well.

Well, from reading the first 2 pages of this thread, I'm betting there are going be a lot of disappointed people. I bet we get exactly none of the stuff listed above, except maybe 4-wheel disc brakes.

And I bet the MT will be gone, too. Brace for it!

4 wheel disc but since they’re sharing a tundra platform that’s next to guaranteed to be there anyway.

a plug in hybrid would be my demand. I can get to and from work in 12 miles. And most people can get to and from work in the range of a plug in hybrid before the engine kicks in. That would instantly make me trade in my gen 3 for a 4th if it has a plug in hybrid option. Could also be convinced of the tundra for the same.

But then there’s the issue with the regen brakes. Toyota: these are great on the Prius. They would be horrible for a tow/haul situation and are an utter pain in the ass to work on DIY. Please don’t do regen brakes, if you do I won’t be an instant sell on a hybrid like I said above.

or at least an interface like fords forscan that is accessible for cheap or free and doesn’t take 350 bucks to reprogram tpms after switching to winter tires.

Yes, because Entune with Apple CarPlay was a feature that needed refinement lol. Sometimes Toyota gets away with missing features way to easy. Everyone knows that. I get the "old for the sake of reliability," arguement for things like a turbo engine but you can't seriously tell me chopping simple features that are mostly software actually leads to a more reliable vehicle.

So we're clear, you basically want a Land Cruiser 100 series with a 1HZ then?

    I'm good with that.
