Trashy people own trashy dogs. When I was a kid trashy people had German Shepherds, Rottweilers, and Dobermans. So it's not the breed it is the people. Some day trashy people will move on to another breed and the pit bull can go back to being the lovable goof that many owners know.

 

I know 2 people that have been attacked by dogs. Both times, they were German Shepherds.

 

Some insurance companies wont insure German Shepherds or Pitbulls .

 

Our town used to ban pit bulls, but weirdly all the times I have ever had aggression problems with peoples dogs it’s from dogs smaller than house cats that have been carried around in a bag. As a kid our neighbor had a huge Rottweiler named sherlock that scared everyone (think sandlot) but was the nicest dog and loved to play so gentle with kids.

I was attacked by a dog when I was working for UPS. It was a wiener dog and it latched itself to my ankle. Had I not been wearing heavy work boots it would have drawn blood. It's not the dog, its the owner. What can't be helped is the fact that trashy people are attracted to certain breeds. Personally I look at the dogs behavior and judge the owner accordingly. My sister's dog is a golden doodle, a combination of two very smart breeds. However, he's a dizzy airhead of a thing, just like her.

 

My wife was one that was bitten by a German Shepherd. She was 4. It was her grandparents dog & she'd been around it her whole life. Her dad said it attacked her for absolutely no reason. It bit her face & latched onto the back of her neck & started shaking her around like a rag doll until my FIL got her away from it & threw it against the wall. Her g'parents kept that damn dog until it died of old age.

 

I don't trust Shepard's. My son was bitten by one too when he was little. They are among the most biting breeds. Any dog that attacks a child for no particular reason has a problem.

The first mid-engine Corvette has finally been built.

The black Stingray coupe already has a home. It was purchased for $3 million at a charity auction in January by NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick, who said it’s going straight into his collection of historic Corvettes and Chevys and will never be driven. The price set a record for a new Corvette, and the entire amount is earmarked for the Detroit Children’s Fund.
The factory will now start pumping out the cars, which start at $59,995, and Chevy says deliveries are expected to begin in late February or early March.
Chevy hasn’t confirmed how many it plans to produce for 2020, but executives have said the entire allocation is essentially spoken for already. A convertible version will be added to the lineup later in the year.

 

I had a dog that was German Shepard/Collie mix. Pretty friendly. Full of energy till she was about 2, then lazy af lol.

Worst dog I've been around was a Jack Russell Terrier. The one my step sister had was very bipolar. Was super friendly, then would try to bite people for no apparent reason. Was also a pretty dumb dog.

PETA President Calls 'Pet' a Disrespectful Term, Ask Owners to Use 'Animal Companion' Instead

The disagreement started when Ingrid Newkirk, president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), suggested that animal owners use the word “animal companion” in place of pet and “guardian” in place of “owner,” because the suggested terms show more respect.
“Referring to an animal as a ‘pet’ or as ‘it’ reduces a sentient being with a personality and emotions to an inanimate object—a possession to be used in any way the “owner” wishes
Contrary to some reports, we are not seeking to ban these words; we’re simply suggesting that it would be more respectful to refer to the animals in our homes as ‘animal companions’ and ourselves as their “guardians” in the same way that all social movements concerned with cultivating respect have made appeals to stop using terms that are racist or sexist or that otherwise imply that the subject is less important than the speaker,” Newkirk said in a statement to PEOPLE about her feelings on the matter.

Not everyone agrees with Newkirk’s opinion, with some believing that PETA is calling for a total ban of the word “pet,” which the animal welfare group claims is not the case. This exact argument played on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday when one of PETA’s senior media officers, Jessica White, went on the show to talk about Newkirk’s comment.
“We don’t hate the word pet, we’re just encouraging people to use a better word,” White said in her interview.
