Cig lighter removal?

Hey guys, I’m adding a USB and want to tap into the cig lighter power. What is the trick to get to the back of that?

Glad you got it. Yeah, I didn’t have to take out the radio. Just the radio trim and ac panel.

 

That looks nice, I'd consider it if one of the ports was PD

you tap into the same wires for the lighter? i am doing the same to mine

 

same wires. I had to cut off the original connector, just spliced them to the usb. There is not a lot of play in the wire so just enough wire to work with.
