ordered the Statue of Liberty this morning. Amazon had her marked down to $90 (from $120) and I had a $25 gift card to use so almost half price.

Finished 1 post and ran out of pieces. Lego says it will take up to 20 business days to ship. ☹️20200208_201740.jpg

I keep following this thread. I haven’t built a LEGO build since 2014 due to heartache I guess. I lost over $10k in LEGO sets during a divorce and it just makes me sick thinking about it. ( They were all tossed in a dumpster) I had many of the collection edition Star Wars sets that were HUGE. All the fun I’m seeing on here has me real close to looking for some of my old sets. Man they’ve gotten expensive af since I bought them years ago. Hoping I can find some open kits that people aren’t trying to cash in on.

Fat Bob's lift kit, 30's on stock steelies, lunchbox locker in the rear, and a ton of other general mods and additions to help the utility of the truck for my particular uses.
Reorganized the top of the desk as the builds were obstructing each other.

A trip to Daiso gained me some cheap, but sturdy stackable shelves. Cleaned up the top, moved a few items here and there, then bam... Place looks good... for now.

Then started building the Saturn V Rocket after dinner. Got halfway done then had to put it on pause till tomorrow as I've been awake for nearly 24 hours working on cleaning the apartment, fixing my RC car, flying my new micro drone, communicating with the ISS via ham radio, and building lego kits.

You posted about this before. It's time to let the heartache go and rejoin the loving embrace of your fellow AFOL's once more and start building again. Can't change the past, but you can BUILD your future. Find a simple cheap kit at Target or some other big box stores or even a Used Lego Reseller like bricks and minifigs and build it. Time heals all wounds and I bet that building a kit here and there will help through the pain. Join us, friend.

At my local LUG meeting today, a guy brought in these two water damaged sets. He wanted next to nothing for them. While I’m not really interested in technic, I’m going to give it a shot. Plus I don’t feel guilty opening them like I always do.

They are fun to build, and even more fun when it all works at the end.

42037 complete. First technic set and those pins did a real number on my thumbs.... however this is a pretty cool build.

There is only 2 solutions to the thumb problem: getting used to it or wearing gloves.
