    Alright,

Who has a 3rd gen and is over the hump of the standard warranty cutoff: 60k miles AND has had to do any major repairs outside of warranty?

    I’ll go first..
2016 limited, 73k miles and just had to get a timing cover leak repaired..$2k job, fought with Toyota directly and they covered half under a one time goodwill since it was noticed by the stealership as a normal “seep” while previous owner had it but they never wrote it down on paper and never recorded. Until warranty expired and the leak became more than a “seep” and required a repair.

    Okay go!

Just clocked 100k in my 16, no issues so far, luckily the CPS failed before my warranty expired.

I don't think you will find too many. The Tacoma is very reliable and durable. We have many who post that are well over 100K miles and have had zero problems. In addition, many of the problems are self inflicted so those don't count haha.

    Yep,
Many parts have to come off and some people have had their engines pulled for this repair. Look through the threads

Nope. Not missing anything, getting the timing cover off is A LOT of work. There's tons of shit on top of the timing cover.

Im at 25k miles and already had the brake master cylinder, the pedal assembly, and clutch master cylinder replaced. Ive had the safety sensor in the grill repaired on recall, my sun visor fell out of the socket a d is dangling by a wire. Ill probably have to have the fuel pump replaced under this March recall. One thing after the other with this fuckin piece of shit.

That's the nature of the rate corporate Toyota negotiate with the dealership. Warranty stuff Toyota pays the dealership 50/hr. "We" pay over 100/hr

No wonder why you have to fight tooth and nail to get dealerships to do any warranty repair. Like my sunvisor for example... th dealer told me to go fuck myself that i was abusing and tugging on the thing causing it to break. Yeah fuck them they just want $521 instead of only $50 from Toyota Warranty.

IMHO dealerships need to be made illegal. Its such bullshit consumers have to pay their middleman markup and get fucked over on parts service and repairs.

Same system in place for healthcare. Your Health care company pays the doctor a negotiated rate in return for being "in network" thus sending more clients to them. (thats why it feels like a cattle call at the doc office)

85k, had the rear leak recall. Otherwise, no issues.
