Hi, I’m looking for anyone with experience or advice with this issue.

Water is getting into my cab somewhere near the bottom seatbelt anchor or above that location for the front seat on the driver’s side. My first suspect was the small window located in the X-Tra cab portion behind me. A few months ago, I used a layer of rubber cement around the seal and closed the window. That seemed to help although I didn’t test it with a hose. At the time I did not know the source of the water’s entry but that was my best guess.

We’ve had heavy rains and the portion of my seat belt when retracted is damp. That part would be either coiled on the reel or inside the molded panel. The floor under the carpet in that area is wet as well.

While it’ll be Sunday before I can take it apart, I’m wondering if anyone has seen this before.

    Thank you.

On at least one occasion my seat belt didn't fully retract and got pinched in the door with about a foot outside of the truck without me noticing.. We had several days of rain with it like that and the moisture wicked into the webbing inside the cabin.
Try extending the belt all the way and loop it over the shift lever to keep it out and let it dry for a day or two. After drying make sure the belt fully retracts and see if the problem goes away.

couple of things come to mind... check the rear glass seal and the third brake light seal.

    Here’s the leak:

I took out the window and then the rubber window gasket. I then cleaned all surfaces, added black silicone gasket sealant, and then reinstalled. It’s curing in the sun with the heat on full blast.

I also dried out the carpet with a fan. It’s supposed to ran for the next four days, so I’ll see if that works. If not, then I’ll replace it.

Super glue might be good for these issues, it penetrates into the gaskets and dries anaerobically.

I think I have the same issue in my 01 Prerunner xtra cab. Getting a wet seat belt after a hard rain and thinking it could be coming through the xtra cab window. How hard was it to remove the trim around the window? And how easy was it removing the window itself to reseal it?
