Oh yeah I went back on Sunday and welded it together. I didn’t finish cleaning it up because my grinder stopped working. I took apart and tested continuity through the switch all the way to the brushes. Which seems fine. The brushes are worn but not bad. I have replacements coming from Amazon. So hopefully that’s the problem.

 

Work canceled due to weather so I went and did some more welding. I’m not the greatest welder but these are coming out pretty good.

 

Nice work Ray! What’s your plan for paint? Going to get them dipped somewhere? Is the inside sealed?

 

Going to spray them with steel it (grey). The inside is sealed.

 

Finished the 48” trailing arms.

Did you use trail gears frame box kit or make templates yourself?

 

I made my own bud.

 

So I made a mount to set the axle at ride height and set pinion angle. Now I can use my 4link chart and check my mounts to make sure they are the right size and are placed in the right spot.

 

Not everyday you see someone working on an axle housing in their living room. Did you wife see that?

 

Yeah. It's all how you say it. I told her, I put it here to keep the garage available for her to use. If I put it in the garage then she would have to park on the driveway.

 

I'm just going to add this to the ever growing list of reasons why BBR is my hero.

 

The mounts are pretty close. Just some minor adjustments.
