    Hey Guys,

I just ordered the Pro Grille/Raptor Lights combo from Runnin4Tacos - Their DIY video shows how to hook up the raptor lights but to activate them you have to run the headlights from what I understand - with their add a fuse wire/harness.

How complicated does it get if you want to run the raptor lights in conjunction with the riding/running lights - i.e. on the steering wheel stalk, the 2nd light position where just your orange markers and directionals come on.

Does a bunch of splicing have to happen? Thanks.

The easiest solution would be to tap the purple wire going into your driver’s side parking light with the red (+) wire from your raptor lights. The black wire from the raptor lights will go to a body ground on the fender next to the battery and your done. No need to add a fuse since the oem purple wire from the parking light is already fuse protected.

So just to be clear - I'll snip off the end of this red wire with the fuse connection, and strip it, heatshrink/solder/splice it to a single purple wire on the running lights behind the headlight?

Yup snip off fuse...purple to red....also the wire white in the same oem jacket as the purple wire is ground could attach the black from raptor lights to that white wire or just ground black wire to body. Either way will work...grounding black to body saves you from cutting into another factory wire. In the photo below I tapped the purple and white from the drivers side parking light to the red and black from the raptor lights...as you can see the connection just in front of the battery. Since the photo was taken it’s been soldered and heat shrinked to keep out moisture.

Can anyone chime in about what gauge wire to use if I were to fashion my own harness from amber pods coming from the pro grill. I'm looking to loop all positive ends into one lead that then splices into an add-a-fuse in the main fuse box. Negatives will all be wired to a single negative wire and grounded to the body with an grounding loop.

Any info on gauge wire or add a fuse (mini?) is greatly appreciated!
