I will put there here as well, these are the trails that VMUTS has opened for snow wheeling. Signage will be put up to ensure snow machines are aware we are allowed to use these trails.

Its official, no more guessing on my part as what I am allowed and not allowed to snow wheel on. :cookiemonster:

Saw that posted on the Ontario overland Facebook group. You’re going to be seeing a lot of rigs up there.

That’s awesome! I figured you had to be apart of that somehow. All that “hard work” travelling through the trails is really appreciated!

    seriously though, that’s awesome.

We are now into the large ~ huge snow bank season. They have grown out of control in the last 2 weeks. It is now a struggle to get to the snow wheeling. :(

So can’t physically get in? Would the snow cats be going in to groom the snowmobile trails?

It just takes some effort to get in now, maybe shovel a bit and use some traction boards. Then SEND IT.

They are grooming all the snowmobile trails around here now, we dont go on anything they groom.

I know a very good unmaintainted roads that turn into trails that are not groomed, that is where I took this pic. At the end of the road, where it turns into a trail.

Does this mean the only entry to VMUTS would be from the Mattawa side?

You guys still plan on venturing up here? Should I book Friday off to enjoy the goodness that is snow wheeling?

    :headbang:

Its supposed to snow a bunch this week and stop Thursday sometime. :bananadance: All that fresh snow wants your names written in it. The weather forecast has been changing a bunch each day so it might change more still.

I am going to bail on this one as well, I have some repairs ahead (evap, rear locker sensor, some small stuff etc..) and regular service that is due so it's going to be expensive.

honestly i didnt think it was a go anymore at least with the group given the lack of chatter so i did fall back on my previous plans for the family day weekend making it a no go for me. still looking forward to a trip or two up to VMUTs to ride with your crew this year though. keep me posted.
