@cruiserguy this place's town limits is like 300 yards from my house.
Cost of living is an F because you wont find a home under $300k and everyone drives BMW's. Housing is an F because the people there are passing ordinances preventing new subdivisions from going up, and last year they stopped construction of an apartment complex because they thought it would bring in too many poor (by their standards) people.

 

Yeah that's beyond ridiculous. But, what can you do? People are willing to pay, and you're not, you're SOL
Texas homes and land is cheap and wide open spaces.... rolling small hills of beautiful wild grass and tons of lakes and rivers
The tornadoes suck but you gotta take a risk sometime

 

There was a dust devil in my town once and everyone lost their shit thinking they would die

I'm maybe an hour from highway 1 (no traffic) but that background shot is of the Big Sur area lol

And if you look at High Point NC on the south side of Greensboro, its comparable to Shitcago. Heroin capitol of NC, businesses keep moving out because they cant gaurantee their employees safety. For example the sheetz gas station closed up because people were getting robbed at the pumps, employees were scared of even walking to their cars at the end of a shift etc.

 

There's like 3 or 4 OHV parks in the entire state of TX. For a state that big that's really depressing. I know of 4 within 1 - 2 hours of me right here

 

I get the best of both worlds. Tornadoes and Hurricanes on a somewhat regular basis.

 

Gawd, having to go to an OHV park sounds like shit

 

so its called public land?

Ive lived in tx all my life so the idea of land i can just go to and not be trespassing is an immagination
