The poor Taco is making some god awful noises all of a sudden. Guess it wasn't cut out for the corn field driving life.

Going in reverse there is a very loud growl coming from the rear half of the truck. Washed it up, checked for corn stalks and what not. Nothing.

I always forget about warranties since ive always had beaters to fix myself. Guess i'll be giving the dealer a call tomorrow and bring er in for a change (after some intense cleaning :frusty:)

I’m constantly finding corn stalks in mine. I had a big pile of them sitting on top of my skid. Glad they didn’t start on fire..

It was a corn stalk jammed between the gas tank heat shield and tank. Pushed the heat shield out and was rubbing against the boot on the drive shaft.

I no longer have to wash my truck and make it look presentable :yay:

Looking for recommendations on what to do with a bed rack. It needs to be painted/powder coated/bed liner/protected in some way(bare steel). Likely to only be on the truck no more than half the year, more likely only about 3 months total in the camping season and garaged during the winter. What are the better options without spending an arm and leg and are there any preferred shops in the area? Thanks

Paint isn’t that bad if you take your time. Just use rattle cans.

When @Tigerian and I were out in arches, we attempted this road. We turned back with my tundra and ran into someone going to try it in a rental Jeep Cherokee and someone else in a corolla... both of which likely wouldn’t have even made it to past the sand..

Getting holes to line up mainly. There's 2 grade 8 bolts that go on the front part through a cross member I had to choose to either drill a hole out or out the bolts in a little cockeyed. I chose cockeyed because I didn't feel like doing any drilling, I'll see how they go for the time being. Got them tight at least

Follow up to my question. Which rattle can is your go to? Last thing I sprayed down was a pine wood derby car with my younger bother years ago lol.

Seem to remember a ton of us a while back singing the praises of Ace Hardware brand stuff. Esp the self etching primer. That's what I use anyways. Many many coats, just for fun. :D

Edit: Speaking of, I'm gona need to touch up my sliders when the weather breaks... maybe at one of these secret moddays...

I use it too don't tell anyone. It's great for skids and sliders. I'll get bumpers powder coated instead. Too much time and paint plus I don't want to get SUPER high off the fumes

I need to do my sliders soon. They're getting a little bad :anonymous:
