I honestly don't think they'd hold up very well to that abuse

All I can find on YouTube is a video of a HMMV and a dodge full size using them as ramps. They hold up in the videos. They should be better than the off brand boards

I'm googling out of curiosity. It sounds like they hold up very well, but are a little more flexible so maybe not great as a bridge.

I just wonder why they weren't included in that video as they've been around awhile and are probably one of maxtrax' biggest competitors. I don't doubt that Maxtrax are the best overall, but it sounds like the Maxsas get the job done pretty well.

Yes! I got home at 4am today.

I left Pine Island at 7am yesterday morning.

I actually made good time considering I got stuck in traffic in stupid Atlanta for about 45 minutes.

Then, I stopped in Chattanooga for an hour to eat and try to feel normal again (anyone else who has regularly driven for 20+ hours at a time probably knows what I mean)

I also went 72 MPH through most of Georgia after meeting my new best friend the state trooper who let me go with a warning after clocking me at 98 in a 70. he said the ticket would have been $730!

The 4runner looked like this a few days ago.20200205_160053.jpg

Aaaand now it looks like this:(

I told him I had gotten stuck behind a group of slow drivers and was just trying to get around them, and didn't realize I had gotten up that fast. I probably also looked like I was about to cry:oops:

I used this experience as justification for spending money on the 4runner.:D

I’m guessing they aren’t readily available in Australia. Kinda like the actiontrax everyone seems to have a boner for lately. Which i dont understand considering they are only like $20 less than maxtrax.

They don't have Amazon in Australia?

I chose them because they were less than 1/2 of the price of Maxtrax and a review had led me to believe they were one of the best alternatives.

If I was going to spend $300, I would almost certainly get Maxtrax. Even though their representative on IH8MUD was pretty obnoxious in the thread I was reading on the subject.

If you are planning the trans AM trail, I would love to meet up. I am in Utah and would hit that local section.

It’s definitely on the list. I might do it as sections.

Also want to do rim rocker this year.

Trans am would be cool but i worry about how many sections would be like the trans Wisconsin trail. Doing the 1/3 on each end is probably the best.

Rim rocker is a 2 day trail, but in talking to others 3 is recommended so its at a more relaxed pace and you can make camp at a decent time instead of just blasting though it.

    So. Many. Stickers.
Rimrocker is also doable by most stock rigs with 4x4 (no Renegades). There are bypasses for tough stuff and plenty of off shoots for the cowboys to get dirty on.

I'll be on it this summer, first week of July-ish with a small crew

Lol, imagine thousands of miles of dusty gravel roads:rolleyes:

Rimrocker sounds pretty cool also. I like the idea of taking it slow. I like to stop and look around periodically.

I would love to get out west this year! Preferably with a couple of buddies to keep me out of trouble.
