    Let's be clear. @SweetT paid for a couselor to try to patch things up but 5 minutes with the two of them and she ran (lumbered) to the closet and refused to come out. He slid her the pork chop from around his neck and some pop tarts under the door then took off.

    Someone figured it out earlier. Suction cup on the outside of the tailgate. 550 cord to cup. Other end of cord to right or left hand.

    As others have stated there have been numerous suggestions, but I will once again quote my own post because I feel like this is going to be your easiest solution that doesn't require any modification...
    Or better yet just pick the bike up and set in the bed all without opening the tailgate in the first place. It's a bike for crying out loud its not like it weighs a half ton.
