I only work 8s most of the time so I'm ok with working 6 days or even 13 on with 1 or 2 off. If o worked 10s or 12s that might be a different story

Yeah, I'm a big fan of my weekends considering it's the only time the wife and I really have together. A lot of the people here work constantly and give up their weekends regularly. I don't understand it.

We're building a new ER just a few miles from my place that should be ready in Sept. I'm really considering moving there and going 8 on and 6 off. It's gonna be a free standing ER with an emergency surgery suite on top.....it'll probably deal with drunk/sick college kids.

I'd be more inclined to work OT/long weeks if I was on days. I'd still get time with the wife after work so weekends wouldn't be as crucial. I also like my weekends cause that's when I play hockey but if I worked days, I could still play hockey after work without having to worry about it.

I love the wheels! For some reason, there is always something that just doesnt click about my truck. Am I trying to make it look like a trdpro on a subconscious level?!

I do 4/10 and 2/12 right now. Sometimes I pick up another 12 hr shift and run nonstop

On my day off all I can do is sleep. Makes me wonder what life feels like.

Thursday nights are usually my last nights so I'll stay up all day Friday to switch to a days schedule for the weekend and then on Sunday nights I'll stay up all night to get back on a mids schedule.
This job is horrible for my health and I hate it but I can't find anything else.

That's good money right there. I'd do that for sure as long as I could take off some days when I want to. But unless we are in turnaround, they try to restrict our OT for emergencies like people being sick or on vacation etc

I don't really mind the night shift. I've always been a night owl....plus I'm all by myself, so I don't have anyone that needs me to be on a normal schedule :D
I just think the 6 in a row off would be nice. I'll still keep my 16hrs of OT each paycheck.

I stay up during the night on my nightdays off. Ive done 90 nights nonstop and it was horrible. But I guess it is possible otherwise how do people live in Alaska?!

Just ordered an aftermarket PRO with garnish 179$ tacogarage. A local guy wanted 275$ for OEM pro grill only
