Thanks for the info! Although now I think I'm more confused as to why one would be amber and the other white..:notsure:

The white is a aftermarket product because Toyota damn sure don't put anything nice on a lowly SR model. lol

Might as well start with an SR though if you're going to redo everything anyway.

Ahh so you just have the stock headlights then? Yeah, I was wondering specifically about the TacomaBeast, sequential headlights lol.

The 2.7 is blessed with a better rear gear ratio than the 3.5 gets (4.10 or 4.30 vs 3.90) but you'll still wanna regear eventually. I put 265/75/R16's on and 6th gear is a myth only witnessed going downhill with a tailwind. I dont do a lot of highway driving so it doesnt hurt for now, but it's on the short list of things to do.

I've loved and wanted those headlights since before I got my Taco but @MESO made me wanna retrofit them which turned it from a $300~ buy to a $1000+ quad D2S bi-xenon/LED switchback project. Sooooo someday.

Might as well get them and keep the stockers then slowly build up the parts.

I bought a 2018 SR Utility 4x2, a little over a month ago. So far i'm loving this little truck!

The day a picked it up from the dealer... bone stock with the chrome wheel covers

Added tailgate letters, black tacoma badges on the door, painted the wheel covers black and tint shortly after purchase

Escort 9500ix on a blendmount, hardwired. Dash cam with the mount dremeled to sit on the stock gopro mount, glove box letters, and a cue ball shift knob (why not?)

Most recently i added TRD Sport headlights, and painted the front bumper. TRD Pro grill is on the way ordered from TheTacoGarage.

Just curious how you sprayed the front bumper? Did you remove the chin and the lower grille portion, or just tape off? Thanks.

I removed the bumper from the truck and took all the trim off. Super easy to do on these trucks as it all just clips in. No tape was used

Your Truck is looking good. Painted the bumper yourself looks nice. I want to have mine painted, may take it to a bodyshop for a quote.

Was running Hankook MT 285/70/17’s, before, it was slow then also, lol. Wheel & tire weight play a large factor, a good aftermarket rim usually weighs less than OEM. My current 34’s in C & aftermarket wheels weigh 2-lbs less than the 33’s with OEM wheels.

The power delivery is not so bad, it’s those darn hills that provide resistance. In Houston we don’t have hills, only overpasses, not too bad here.

Cleaned up current pic, almost ready for next weeks road trip : )
