It's funny, I did the same thing today, spraying a 2019 4Runner frame with WoolWax. Now I need to get another gallon for this upcoming fall.

 

I somehow still haven't used 5 gallons. Think I've got enough left for 3-5 trucks still.

 

I am just curious, how many of those quart bottles that attach to the spray gun do you go through on a vehicle? I use around a quart per vehicle (usually a little less). If I got a 5 gallon bucket, it would last me 10 years!

 

I use anywhere from 1.5-2 on mine each season. I think my the initial spray on my truck I used 4, but now that I've got a good base layer, I don't stress it as much on the additional times.

 

Oh wow, you lay it on thick! You still use Fluid Film correct? I know I asked that before, but I just can't remember.

 

Usually one bottle will do two vehicles. If it's the first time a whole bottle. Think I've done about 30 vehicles this year. Plans to do another event in spring for those whom live the salt life

 

Ah, okay, makes sense, I forgot that you had a "fluid film" event this past fall.

 

Correct. Once my supply runs out, I'll kick over to Woolwax.

I've had my truck done with FF from @BadDNA s Fall meet a couple of times, but now he's lucky enough to move North. So I may not see him for a long while.
So this year I was planning to buy stuff and do it on my own.

So, the obvious question is why Wool-wax over FF, or does it just come done to personal preference?

 

Woolwax is stickier/thicker. Goes on the same but less mess and status on longer better. Both are made by the same company

So, But In my mind stickier means more sand and junk would stick?
Or does it dry well?

Being Thicker does it spay on harder? Different sprayers?

 

Sprays the same as fluid film to me just less ends up on the ground. Don't think anymore dirt sticks to it than fluid film. Still doesn't dry, wet but more waxy I guess

I was just about to ask if that place was legit or not. I'd grab the $80 dirt bike just for shiggles but not really interested in being an example either. Could end up being the most expensive dirt bike I ever buy!
