I got the spare under there.

And still can squeak 20mpg’s out of my rig with 295’s. Which I’m stoked on for longer trips. And that’s not counting the 9.4% adjustment for bigger circumference tire - so more like 22mpg.

There’s plenty for the 295. I have what’s looks to be about an inch to spare between leaf hangers and a few inches more to spare between the hitch and the rear diff. I’m a long bed, does that matter? My limiting factor is definitely space between hangers. :sawzall:

Pics of clearances for anyone curious.

I thought long and short beds were the same from the axle back. The difference in length is between the transmission and axle, no?

I’m not 100% sure but I can definitely tell you that my tire was leaning on the hitch when I angled it on the way up to clear the diff. I could have rolled with that but when the axle starts moving up, it’ll definitely wedge the tire. Your pic shows there’s an inch or two on both sides(front and back).

My 3G SB is fine with a 295/75/16 stuffed up in the oem location... It was a tight fit and needed very little modification, stock exhaust, cut ears, I have articulated off-road with zero issues.

I’m intrigued. Do you have any pics, particularly the diff and hitch? It just didn’t seem comfortable when I attempted a few times. The ears/tabs have been hammered a bit but didn’t seem like cutting them would make a difference when I was analyzing it

Yeah, I'll take a couple pics when I get home or before I leave work today.

I'm selling my 295/75r16 Cooper XLT's. Anyone interested? I ran them for a year. Lots of life left. Looking to get 300 (plus shipping).
