Does anybody know what it would take if it’s possible to switch out a 6”lift for a level kit or a 3” lift?

If it’s DB kit. It’s gonna cost and be more trouble than it worth imo. What brand lift kit is on it?

It’s a rough country lift. I messed up with trying to go the cheap route and now my truck just rides a lot worse than it should even with a lift.

You could get some coilovers that are made for a bracket lift that would help out.

Your frame has been cut to fit that kit. Going to a 'standard' lift will require a good fabricator to repair that.

You 'may' be able to change the shocks/springs within what you have to improve the ride. Someone will chime in to confirm or deny that option.

Another thought is to call Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and see if she can help save your bacon.

It just rides really rough. Goin down the highway and everything in the truck is shaking. It’s not the tires because I’ve had them balanced and rotated multiple times.

So there is pretty much no way to swap the 6” rough country lift for a better maybe 3” lift?

You could but it’d require some fabrictation since the stock front crossmember was cut to fit the new one.

Ok. 33” is better than 35”. I’ll assume you kept the factory coilover over and just used the drop spacer and kept the factory rear leafs. So what is interesting is with the kit all you have done is lower all the mounting points for the front suspension by 6” and raised the rear with blocks so it should still have what is close to factory feel since you still have the same factory components.(just all 6” lower)That being said, drive line angles all have changed, the suspension geometry is different and tires can add a lot to roughness depending on load rating. If you E rated tires id go to a C, check driveline angles( u joint binding etc). Going back would be costly, you’d need a donor frame piece, factory steering knuckles( if you tossed them) etc.

Need to round up some parts
    Factory Spindles
    Factory front diff mounts
Shocks or coilovers for 0-3" lift
    (I'm sure I'm forgetting something)

Dont forget probably need to drop the rear assuming you have the lift blocks installed that comes with most kits.

20 X 12 wheels are not going to make it ride like a Buick.

I recommend taking it to a tire shop that has a road force balancing machine and also dropping the tire psi to soften the ride. If you are running MT tires, I would also look into an AT C-load tire for softer ride qualities and better luck with balancing.

Absolutely, I’ve had great 35s. I was meaning 33s tend to be easier to balance and less out round, trying to eliminate it’s a tire issue. Although it could be.
