    Well, technically, no.

I worked at Finish Line for about 4 years. One of my selling points for the BOGO socks promotions they do at back to school time was letting them know that the socks could last quite a long time.

We had socks that were rolled every day for a year and socks that were flat stacked, or folded in thirds.

The socks that were rolled were useless.

the socks that were flat stacked or folded over in thirds retained the elasticity.

By folding the socks in thirds, they stay together better in the drawer. (dress socks)

By flat stacking, you can organize white socks or ankle socks easier/faster because the only mate they have is another white sock that matches the style. (athletic socks)

Wool socks or hiking/boot socks are best folded in half to reduce overall thickness once folded.

This thread inspired me to clean out my sock drawer (sort of)

    20200210_124257.jpg
Summer socks on the left. Rarely worn, usually go natural in the summer.
Funeral socks and midweight in the middle. Generally go natural at funerals too. Unless it's cold, then I reach for the heavyweights, which are on the right.
My apologies on the ugly dresser...was my first distressing project and we stuck it in the spare bedroom (along with most of my shit).

I tried ironing a shirt once...didn't pan out too well. I think it's an art that must be mastered, which doesn't interest me. I use the dryer for wrinkles.

Black socks will also make your feet smellier due to the bacteria underneath your toenails feeling more comfortable in a darker environment. They basically breed and die much faster, causing the smell.

I keep mine similarly organized at least initially and then have to redo it every once in a while.

Since my drawer technically contains other items you guys just get a photo of the roll since I'm doing laundry today.

My socks are separated into two drawers.

Boot/hiking socks in one, dress socks in another. I'll snap a pic tonight for you all.
