3" lift. $10K in TRD options. Richie's semi-hidden bumper, and soon his Elka suspension
lol - I had a '73 Ford pickup that was "undercoated" with spray foam.

all this lift talk makes me want to start finally putting a lift together I've been thinking on 5100's with 887s over 885s i have about 150lbs on the front hoping for 2 inch lift will it be more than that or should i go 885s? I need to keep stock ucas. Very little "off roading" done.

however i had been looking at the Icon stage 2 package now, @daks @Norilsk made me look at them and now i wanna spend some money.

It'd be a great Christmas present for next year :D

I've looked into the 6112 but think i'd rather go fox 2.0 instead then reconsidered and for the limited budget I have and my use of them i believe 5100s are probably good enough i'm confused on the springs and rates and don't want to buy twice.

me and you sit in the same boat
    :drunk:
    clueless and helpless!

was thinking 6112 in the fronts with 5160 in the rear (as it seems to be a norm)
    then looked at icon 2.0
and then saw the stage 2 kit which run the icon 2.5s... which i don't even know what 2.0 or 2.5 mean yet. but i'm assuming larger number = mo better
    :bananadead:

there are so many options and combinations and opinions

You should really think on what you need more than what you can just blow money on.

I wheel my truck regularly and so far 5100's have been fine, I am just finding the weakness on them now. So :boink:

I mostly just can't decide between 885s or 887s i think 886 is to much from what ive read for me

The 2.0 vs 2.5 is the shock body diameter. The 2.0 is the standard shock body that most everyday shocks use whereas the 2.5 is larger. Larger is better if you're doing a lot more off road.

Looks sick. How much were the tie downs? I have to get more. Where did you end up getting them again?

I'm thinking putting some on the floor of the bed.

High tie downs aren't needed as much as low for me

If you order some from the states let me know. When you going to New York? Could just bolt down with stainless and big washers. Thats what I did for my flatbed

2" and Under no probs with stock UCA's .

at 150Lbs you'll want the softer spring with more height so you can keep it on a lower notch if you're looking at 2".

But check with others on the OME springs as I've not really played with them much.

2.0" and 2.5" are shock body diameters. Larger diameter = more fluid. Stock yellow Bilstein and 5100 are basically 1.5" shocks. 6112s are 60mm so they are effectively 2.5" class.

Don't worry about Icon "stages". There's no benefit in getting a package.

2.5" rear shocks are overkill for the kind of trails in Ontario. Only reason I got them is for extra travel from the Icon RXT design.

tie downs i got from Amazoom.
    pricey as sin but...

$30 for 2 of the threaded mounts (so $60 for all 4), but at the time of searching, it was the cheapest i could find them. Other sites either didn't have them or didn't show them as an item.
    https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07FBYBP2N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
this one saves you $0.35 per tie-down
    https://www.amazon.ca/Threaded-Doub...ds=l-track+rail+fitting&qid=1581382475&sr=8-5
when i say $60 is cheap for 4, those thieves at US cargo control will rob every penny from you. $15 for the fittings but $100 to ship a 0.88kg package (this is what my china amazoom package said it weighs)

other than that. the track system is the super track rails, which came with 2 of the hooped tie-downs
So far, spent $180 in total for the tracks and the mounts, plus $20 for the rivnuts and washers.

Can't be pricey as sin when your total cost is less than half of what I spent ($500) for a kb Voodoo crossbar :anonymous:
