Hockey Trash Talk & BS thread

Yeah, the rumors are out that the Leafs and Oilers might make a "hockey" trade... not sure I'm a Nurse fan so I hope they're just rumors for now. Nurse is good, don't get me wrong, but if it's true the Oilers want a top 9 roster player, a prospect, and a pick the trade makes no sense. Too expensive.

If you think Leafs fans get delusional on a players value you should hear the local radio guys talk about the fLames and Coilers rosters. You'd think they were the teams of the century and everything they have is plated in gold.

 

Only positive I see in this deal is Trevor Moore is younger and might develop into a 25 goal year player ... also born in Thousand Oaks so might be inspired to play for the home team. Campbell will probably eventually end up the number one starter for the Leafs.

 

Campbell is a solid goalie. I think that was a good move, honestly. I also thought the timing was hilarious, with how that game went, last night.

They're going to get a good haul back for what the Kings tossed away though. Rumor is the Flames want him.

 

At this rate the team in the East that's sitting on the outside of the playoffs will have as many points as the team that wins the Pacific.

 

Jason Zucker headed to the Pens. Wild get Alex Galchenyuk, 2020 first round pick, and Calen Addison.

 

Addison plays for the local minor league team. He's good, not sure how he'll be at the NHL level though. Probably a second pairing guy after some development.

Many say he was our best D prospect currently. That being said, the Geno/Sid era still has a window open so you gotta do what you gotta do. I think it was a fair deal for both sides.
